My partner and I stayed at Hotel Lux for a week in February. We chose this hotel from a great recommendation from my parents. On our visit we experienced very friendly staff, in particular Luigi. He went out of his way to recommend us places to visit and restaurants to try. This hotel was also very clean, and a great...

This was in no way a 4 star hotel, perhaps it was 20 years ago. It was faded and sad. The bathroom was appalling - the flush mechanism was away fro the wall, the taps were filthy, the woodwork damaged, the radiator could not be turned off and the shower had no curtain or cubicle so water went everywhere. That...

The hotel offers very good value for money. The room I had was quite small but neat and clean while the breakfast was excellent - all you could eat from pastries, cheese, meats, rolls, toast etc. Located 10 minutes from the main rail terminal and only 2-3 minutes from a Metro station I found it pretty easy to get to...

The hotel is nice. Description is in accordance with the actual situation. Breakfast is good. The only drawback is the lack of wireless in the rooms. Location of the hotel is near the subway station. Street is close to everything but at the same time very quiet and peaceful.

This year we went for Christmas in Rome , Italy and stayed at Hotel Lux 4*. From my point of view is not 4* because the furniture is outdated , the cosmetics are average and there were no disposable slippers . But even the rooms are small - we stayed at 5th floor so was very quiet - they are...

Had the best sleep here. Quite, comfortable and clean. Great location, elegant five storey hotel near the train station. The staff at the front desk most friendly and helpful. We arrived at 10 am and they gave us an early check-in. Price included breakfast. Highly recommended.

The room was clean and comfortable. We were on the 5th floor so we had good views. It was only a 25-30 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain with many other beautiful sites on the way. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
