I came to this hotel as part of a school trip. Worst hotel i've stayed at. There was four of us to the room and the beds were crammed from one wall to the other. Space was limited and all the floor space consisted of our suitcases. The little wardrobe space we had was infested with moths. We had one... More

Very unplesant front desk. They talking over phone discussing personal things and ignoring you. Very dirty hotel and old. I would not come again. Location comfortable a lot of food place around. Wifi only works in lobby.

I have no idea why this place is rated four stars? The best are uncomfortable and the rooms are tiny. There is no bag drop so if you want to leave your things at the hotel on you r last day they are just left in the dining area which is incredibly unsafe. I went with a group from my... More

Went on a school trip here, the breakfast food was ok if you stuck to having bread rolls and nutella (or the italian version which tasted the same) you would be fine. The location is quite good as it is in the centre however the room I was in was right next to the noisy road and as the air-conditioning... More

To preface this, I went on a school trip. First arrived at the hotel and the vending machine decided to eat my money, returning 0.80 euros from 2 euros for an 0.80 euro product that it didn't even give me, so quite a bad start. This was followed by a long winding walk to my room, which included a walk... More

This hotel is clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the beds relatively comfortable. There was a good supply of fluffy white towels on a cosily heated rail. The Noto is in a god location for some of the main attractions. That's the good bit. The breakfast was basic, coffee undrinkable for me, lots of bready, stodgy things but... More

There's nothing wrong with this hotel, it's perfect for school trips or big groups of people. I'm just after spending 4 nights here. Rooms are a bit small, but you probably will be so busy exploring Rome that you will only be there to sleep. Staff were lovely and the rooms were clean.

I agree with the review 'A place to lay your head' . I've stayed as part of a school group and overall the hotel was clean & breakfast was okay & they do turn off the air con...! The staff were okay but not particularly friendly. I am not sure what the hotel rates itself but it is not a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
