We've just returned from a 4 night stay in Rome and the Hotel Solis. From the moment we arrived the owner / manager Gianni was very receptive and very knowledgable showing us on the map all the major sights. Our room was at the top and a good size, free safe usage, TV and bathroom. I'm a large lad and...

Small hotel located just a few meters from the Colosseo and the Fori Imperiali. My room was relatively spacious, clean and comfortable; the temperature in the room was a bit too high for me, but I tend to like lower-than-average temperatures. Buffet breakfast more than adequate, and very good service. The only fault I noticed: there was a safe in...

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay in Rome and our accommodation at the Hotel Solis was exactly what we had wanted. Our room was spacious, with an excellent shower. Safe, hairdryer, mini fridge all very useful. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome and any queries were efficiently and pleasantly dealt with by...

Pros: location was incredible and various restaurants and cafes closeby .Prearranged gluten free options at breakfast . Good price. Room was good size with 3 beds for family of four. Very quiet. Standard continental breakfast. Cons: Smell from drains in bathroom was not pleasant. Small shower and shower head wobbly. Wifi was hopeless and no one seemed in any hurry...

all the positive things have already been mentioned and some of the negative things written are also true. The staff are tremendous, the breakfast lady an absolute gem, natural, motherly and warming. I'm sure the hotel cherishes her. The cleaning girl is also charming and very capable, even stripping beds we had already made - I've never seen that anywhere!...

Stayed here whilst watching the rugby and sight seeing. Brilliant location for the Colosseum, Forum and most attractions. Room was adequate, a bit on the small side but as a base you can't beat it. Free wifi and powerful showers. Recommend.

Stayed for 3 nights over the rugby weekend and found the location to be perfect for us . It is so easy to access many of the historic sites and there are many bars and restaurants close by. We stayed in a superior room on the first floor overlooking Via Cavour, which due to the excellent sound proofing meant we...

A fairly small centrally located hotel, but for the price I do not think you could get much better in the eternal city. We stayed in room 203, which was a very spacious room, ample room for us as a couple and could easily accommodate a family of four. The Colosseum was only a few minutes away and the local...

Any question we asked was like pulling off the arm of the front desk man. Whats a good place to eat? "I dont know just walk around and you'll find one." What's a good bakery or pastry shop ""I don't even know what those are". We also had to do some business while on the trip and specifially picked this...
