Stayed here overnight before travelling to Florence. Very easy to find, just a couple of minutes walk from the via Marsala exjt of Termini station. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and extremely quiet (looked onto courtyard not road) with modern bathroom.
I loved my stay at Hotel Domus Praetoria. The five stars I have given it take into account the friendliness of the staff and the excellent location. It's not a 'five star' hotel in the respect of dripping with luxury; it's a family run hotel...More
The old man at the reception was so courteous! The entire staff was so amazing & helpful. Triple room size was good; very clean, secured! It was few minutes walk from Roma Termini.

From the outside this hotel does not look appealing at all, it is located in a quiet, narrow road (which is not the nicest to walk down after sunset) but inside the hotel is very nice.

It is a very good solution for tourists visiting Rome and they want to have trains buses taxis within a reach. It is a clean quiet, eventhough centre located, friendly ownership hotel with no funcy elements than decent quality versus money deal.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

It's in a fairly quite part in a back street. it was fine during the day time as the markets were open but when it got dark it didn't feel as "safe" as I would have hoped, I was with my BF so felt safeish, as long as you're not both walking back really late in the evening then I'm sure you'll feel safe, as there are shops very close by that are open. it is very close to the station and is a great hotel with AMAZING aircon
