I recently stayed at the Empire Palace hotel for the first part of a two week Italy vacation and one night at the end of my trip. I was very pleased with my room and the staff. The breakfast every morning was wonderful. I strongly recommend staying here.

We stayed 4 nights here last week. The location was convenient with lots of restaurants, gelato places, and landmarks we wanted to see. Upon arrival we were greeted by a gentleman who was rather curt....not friendly at all. Our bags were taken to our room and we tipped the guy as he was coming out of our room. We entered... More

This was our first time to Rome and we loved this hotel. It was a very convenient location to villa borghesi, Spanish steps and Via Venetto. We walked everywhere. The room was nice size and with a wonderful breakfast. Staff was always helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

First the good. The hotel was clean and in an excellent location. The bad. Our room was only about 120 square feet with only one chair and a small desk. also in our room the A/C didn't work, which made it pretty miserable during the day. At night we opened the window, which booked is down but with a price.... More

I really enjoyed staying at Empire Palace Hotel. Stayed here back in February 2016. There was not much around but only a short 5-10 minute walk and your in the main hustle and bustle. Although there are some restaurants around the hotel and if you need trains its close. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great! I... More

From the start it was good service, breakfast is great, metro station is about 10 minutes away, Roma Termini is also about 10 minutes away walking. Good local restaurants around the area, bed was a little small, but if you are doing sightseeing, you really won't mind. Great stay overall.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and were dismayed that no one would help us with a serious problem -- the fact that we had a very bad leak in our bathroom. The tub was retrofitted with a new cover and there was a leak between the old tub and the retrofitted tub. We were afraid that we would... More

We had two nights here before starting our cruise. The hotel is well located, as it is just 15 minutes walk from the Trevi fountains, half an hour from the Colloseum, and an hour from The Vatican. It is just five minutes from the main tourist area meaning that it Is very quiet, but with excellent local restaurants nearby. The... More

Stayed here for one night post cruise and found the hotel to be almost perfect. Firstly the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was a great size, very good choice at breakfast and the service was excellent. The only thing negative was the bathroom, very narrow and the shower/bath could have done with updating, (I am being really... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
