Quanit hotel, loved the location within walking distance to everything! Did not need a taxi to get to the major attractions or shopping, it is in the district of Monti, very safe and known for really good restaurants, if you are young it has a great night life close by. We are retirees but the night life was not close to the hotel where it would bother us. The Hotel had an excellent buffet, room service was prompt, very clean and comfortable bed. On the downside they did not allow us to use the spa during covid and claimed it was not allowed. However we stayed at a previous hotel days prior that had a spa and we did use their spa. We were not given any credit for the spa which was the main reason why we booked this hotel. There is a spa 3 doors down from them and that was fully open so I feel this was an excuse not to open the spa. Other than that I would recommend it.…
Worst hotel we’ve stayed at in Italy. The air conditioner is so low that it barely travels to the entire room. Room was so humid and smells like a nursing home. On our last night, the air conditioner for the entire floor was broken and the hotel didn’t offer any accommodations. Breakfast offerings were terrible. Front desk didn’t really speak English. Housekeeping barely cleaned the rooms and didn’t offer enough toilet paper. Staff couldn’t give us a blanket when asked. The hotel lobby and place to eat breakfast is always hot and humid, no air conditioner. Never coming back to this hotel again! Worst experience ever!
The location is wonderful, of course, very near the Colosseum and a number of nice restaurants in the heart of glorious Rome. I found the staff to be very friendly and the room a decent size. The flaws are very marked though, and, especially in summer the woeful air conditioning is enough to make you think twice about returning - as others have mentioned. In addition, although Italian hotels often don’t do breakfast very well, breakfast here is seriously lacking. The hot options are completely inedible and the fruit is mainly out of a tin. The coffee is good and the iced-croissant was fine (no non-sweet pastries). But that’s it. So, rather average for the price.
The hotel itself is clean, there was no tea or coffee facility in the room for whatever reason and it’s located in the centre which is great.. But where is the service?!... It’s a quite pricey hotel and in our experience the staff were rather unwelcoming especially the restaurant staff, terrible! We missed the breakfast by 5 mins on our first day and the man with glasses said “closed”. Okay, I accepted that breakfast is over and the restaurant is closed. I asked him if it’s still possible to have a cup of coffee, then he cursed porco dio while banging dishes. I understood what it meant despite of my non italian heritage. cursing at guests is not only inappropriate but extremely rude! The next morning, we returned for breakfast and it was disaster! No coffee, no cutlery, most importantly no service! Waitstaff running around in chaos, completely disorganised. They were already out of foods by 9am.... definitely not coming back. Rome is a beautiful city because of the Roman ancient history for which tourists are spending their money for, but what will this city offer without it?! there’s no need to curse, a little more respect would be appreciated..…
The hotel is great. The only issue was their air-conditioning was not working. It is still cool enough at night. to sleep. My positive experience before we left home, Sabrina, one of the front office people set up our port and airport transportation. The hotel is very clean and pretty quiet. The employees are very nice and helpful. The included breakfast has a lot of choices. The location is prime in central Rome within walking distance of most of the major sights. There are a lot of restaurants in close proximity. We would gladly stay here again.
Average hotel. Furniture is old and there’s no air conditioner. The breakfast doesn’t have much options. No fresh fruits, no lactose free milk neither yogurt and bread was not fresh. The staff is nice. Location is very centric and it is the best part of the hotel.
The hotel was great. Walking distance to most of the attractions of Rome. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and fresh. Breakfast was simple but good. Overall a great place to stay in Rome.
The only thing that I asked the hotel was about aircondition and they say that all rooms have aircondition...but it is not aircondition/ after 2 nights I run out of the hotel. the rooms were not clean. Big NO!
Ideal location, very clean and comfortable bed. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was as expected but disappointed with the egg, bacon and sausages were always cold, which we did inform the Maitre Di but made no difference. Towels and linen changed regularly. Main problem was not being able to regulate the temperature of the room. It was too hot but when you opened the window it was too noisy. Reception said they would send someone up on the first day to look at the temperature control . This didn’t happen until the 3rd day and made no difference at all. Otherwise we had a good stay in Rome and the hotel was close to Metro and most of the main attractions.
Hotel could not be in a better location 20 min walk to all tourist attractions as very central. All staff were fab! Beds comfy ...pillows thin, couldn’t work the air Con/heating out but wasn’t a problem really. Shutters in windows block pretty much all the noise and light out. Breakfast nice; fills you up but not lots of choice. The spa was not worth visiting...didn’t use the gym as we walked miles every day! No English tv channels just news(didn’t bother me but FYI) Fantastic restaurant on the corner (1min was) called est est est Ricca was very small restaurant but was AMAZING and very very reasonable!
