This was a great hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food was varied and of a good standard. The staff were very helpful from reception to the restaurant. it was quiet even with school parties there. It was a lovely experience. I was on a school trip.

I stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and if it was refundable my family and I would have gotten out after the first day. The rooms had a bit of smoke smell and were average in terms of cleanness. The pillows were hard as rock (minus the last night), the wires in my bed were sticking out, there is... More

We came to Rome to participate in an international chorale competition. Hotel bookings were handled by the organizers. We were a big group of around 90pax. My family arrived at the hotel a day ahead of the main group. Our first night was terrible. We checked-in at midnight. When we're about to sleep, the air conditioning was not operating. Upon... Below average. One of the worst 3 stars hotel i have seen. Room is rather small, furniture is old and ugly, our clothes stink after few days of keeping them in the closet. Bed is very uncomfortable. For the whole time we could hear noises from corridor and other rooms. AC is ok, but internet is a joke, poor signal... More

It was a big hotel with one working elevator for customers, stinky rooms, faulty airconditioning and plumbing, rude staff, terrible breakfast and probably the worst coffee in Italy! But the location has great potential, a major hotel chain should just buy it and renovate it.

My first trip to Italy... It was a last minute situation. I admit when I arrived the hotel was a bit of a shambles. I was on the 3rd floor and there was a lot of redecorating going. My room was a very decent size. I loved that my room overlooked the Piazza. Id sit up at night just watching... More

Terrible breakfast, lack of AC, unsafe elevator, loud and very unfriendly staff. After arriving late from the city we were told that hotel is closed and if we will try to reach our rooms they will call the police!!! That was absolutely disgusting. I was never ever treated like this. Noone speaks english whatsoever.

This hotel was booked through my school for a school trip. Before I got to the hotel I had no clue what it looked like inside or out as I thought since my parents had payover £400 for the hotel and flight i thought it would at least be better than a hostel, not only that I thought since it's a 3... Never stay in this hotel. I went to this hotel on a school trip and it was awful. Firstly the food. We went to Italy for pizza and pasta. For our starters were had pasta which was very hard. For the main we got a piece of meat each day and some potatoes. The meat was grey and the potatoes... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
