Location was perfect. Easy place to find and stay. It was quiet and the staff helpful. Room is small but clean and with the shutters closed very dark. Good for sleeping once the sun comes up. They provided coffee you could make in the am and a community refrigerator. No cooking however.

Booked hotel on booking.com, when arrived -overbooked. Called booking.com and searched new hotel with almost no assistance from the hotel owner(eventually closed door, turned phone off) late at night.

Arrived late at night, the owner was there... smooth check in with no problems. The owner (Giuseppe) was warm, friendly and helpful. The room was big and spacious. Room was clean and cleaned everyday. Breakfast was included although basic. Having said that, all breakfasts seem pretty basic in Rome. Very close to Termini train station, Ideal if you are arriving... More

The owner is a lier so be careful. Me and my friend wanted to extend our stay so on the day we were supposed to check out we went to the front desk to talk to the receptionist but there was nobody at the front. We didn't want to waste our time by just waiting so we tried to book... More

We had been so looking forward to our few days in Rome. I thought perhaps a lovely balcony over looking this magnificent city, or/and a spacious room to relax after a long day of sight seeing. My initial response to the size of the bedroom was to liken the size to that of a prison cell. Seems a bit harsh... More

Don't dare arrive even 10 minutes after their reception desk closes, or they will list you as a "no show", which allows them to cancel your room and keep all of your nights of pre-paid lodging, but not allow you to stay. Imagine ringing the door bell, and calling their number, and emailing for over an hour at 1:00am until... More

It was really nice from the first day. The bed, toilet, bathroom, clean towels! The only thing that I didn't like is the air conditioner. I came here, Rome in Summer and it was extremely hot. But the air conditioner worked really slowly and the power of it was often not enough for my family. I wanted to ask about... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
