I stayed in this hostel for 4 days and really enjoyed it. It is in a great location, walking distance from the Rome termini, which made it super easy to get to all the sights in Rome. The hostel is in a cute old building and is clean with enough bathrooms that I rarely had to wait to use one.... More

Stayed here for 6 nights in a 5 bed dorm and loved it! The place is sociable, clean, has everything you could possibly need and the staff are lovely! They gave us a map and pointed out all of the best places and even cooked us dinner one night. Would recommend to anyone planning a trip to Rome 🇮🇹

My friend booked our stay in Roman Holidays but I'm so glad he did! The staff were very friendly and upon arrival gave us a map and marked with pen some brilliant sights, restaurants and places to visit whilst we were there! The room itself was spotless, the beds weren't the comfiest in the world but it didn't matter at... More

Roman holidays has everything you need for a budget traveller. The rooms were sparse but very large, has its own kitchen and common room, free wifi and great staff. The main attraction being the proximity to the main train station from which to base yourself. The staff cooked us a free pasta dinner one night which was a plus. My... More

Very helpful staffs, they will try their best to fullfill your requirements, place you wanted to go or best way to reach your destinations. They do provide the city Map. Roman Holidays was the first hostel I ever stayed at and I don't think it could have been much better - arrived in Rome at night after a 27hour flight, so as you can imagine, I wasn't feeling great! However, once I arrived Daniel was great and gave me a free dinner! The staff were always interested in whether I... More

This place was perfect for a stay in Rome, conveniently just around the corner from the termini. The staff were all excellent, Daniel even stayed up and waited for us when we were late checking in. They provide fresh croissants and a well stocked kitchenette to make your own food, and everything is clean. Great value.

This wee hostel was so great . Small and quiet and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. It's only a short 2 minute walk from termeni rail station and about 20 minute walk from most of the major roman sites - so a fantastic location. It was really well priced and a massive bonus getting fresh croissants for breakfast... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hostel is a small and comfortable place. It consists of just two medium sized apartments on the first floor of a grand old building close to Termini Station and within walking distance of the main attractions of the city. When you check in, you will meet either Ciprian or Daniel: we run the place together, take care of the reception and everything else. And of course there's Andreea in the morning, who keeps the place nice and clean. We have a cosy common area with sofas and tables where you can eat, watch television, use the internet or chat to other guests or with one of us. Sometimes it's nice and quiet, sometimes it's filled with lively conversation. The kitchen - where our guests like to cook their own food - is also a great place to meet people. Being a small hostel we have the advantage of knowing all our guests and, when we're not too busy, share meals and sometimes a bottle of wine whilst swapping stories about travelling. Our rooms are simple, functional and clean. Nothing fancy - but everything you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay "We welcome people from all over the world and of all ages. We look forward to meeting you!" Please note: Reception stays open from 8.00 Until 0.00. No curfew. Cancellation policy: 48h advance notice. Late cancellation or no show - one night charge. Check in from 14.00. If you arrive earlier you can leave your bags in the luggage storage. Check out before 10.30. Taxes not included - city tax 3.5 Euro per person per night to be paid locally. Payment upon arrival in cash please ! ... more   less
