We stayed 4 nights over easter which was great fun. Host was wonderful, nice breakfast. My biggest thing was it was a nice clean refuge from our full on days, often calling back for a rest midday. Metro was couple min away. Right next to popes city cathedral and steps Jesus walked on at potions pilots house. Good food nearby,...

One of the most beautiful accommodations I have ever been to! We were welcomed with an amazing glass of fizzy wine and crackers, the room was perfectly clean and the host amazing! Located in a convenient location a 15 minute walk from the Colloseum and really close to a metro station! Breakfast was served on the beautiful terrace and we...

Stayed for 5 nights and it was a great experience. Close to all the main attractions + transport bus/tram/metro. Rooms are modern and cleaned every day. Staff extremely helpful with everything. 2 slight negatives, breakfast isn't great and the tv didn't have any English channels, but I am really nitpicking. Highly recommend staying there.

This hotel/guesthouse is located ideally. Near the Metro and about 10-15 min walk to the Colosseum. Unfortunately the cost you pay doesn't include the city tax which is charged on top. Also, when we arrived they asked what time we wanted breakfast. I said is this included and they said yes. The next day after 2 breakfasts they say that...

Stayed here last summer. Lots of public transport access, and quite close (walking distance) to some of the major attractions (Colosseum). Staff were absolutely love, and took care of us. The room was very nice, and very clean. Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here 4 nights to welcome the new year in Rome. The localization is good: 15 min till the Colosseum. The employees are very friendly and even offer us a bottle of champagne to celebrate the new year. The room is very good: very clean and the bathroom, although being small, have recent furniture. Now the bad things. The...

We stayed here for five nights. It was quite hard to find and when we eventually got hold of someone at reception she took us to the "annexe" building which was in another street! The hotel room itself was nice enough and perfectly clean. However, one thing I do expect from a hotel is that there should always be hot...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“City tax is applied upon your arrival. Please take note of all the signs for the guests. e.g not to lock the main door to the building as we found ourselves locked in as someone had locked the door but was resolved very quickly. Free bottles of water and coffee/tea supplied in the room each day of your stay. Fast wifi.”
