We stayed at this hotel for only 2 nights; for a short break, but the way the staff and the whole atmosphere made us feel, was as if we had been here for a lovely long week. Although the time flew, the hotel offered everything to us over the three days. It's a minute walk from the central station- 'termini'...

Reallyenjoyed our stay at this hotel, rooms lovely, WiFi. Coffee machine in the room, beautiful roof terrace with breathtaking views over Rome. But the real gem in this hotel are the staff, especially Massimo, who gave us the benefit of local knowledge, molto grazie, we will he back.

We stayed in the Independent Hotel Suite for the weekend and had a very pleasant stay. Chose this hotel for the location (very close to the Termini station) and the flexible use of the apartment suite for our family. They prepared for the single bed for our child and the layout was perfect. The breakfast on the top floor of...

I spent one night in this hotel coming to Rome by train . They gave me a suite: the room was very clean with new furnishings. The hotel is just 300 m far from Termini train station. Price low, good quality.

We have just checked out after staying 3nights at the hotel. From the moment we arrived staff made us feel welcome. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a junior suite (room 104) which was a lovely touch by Valerio. Room was large, clean, with a spacious bathroom and had a beautiful balcony which overlooked the street/neighbourhood. The 8th floor...

For the price and location (20-minute walk to the Colosseum, 5 minute taxi ride to the Trevi Fountain) this hotel is the place to be. From the moment of check-in to time of check-out the staff was very helpful, professional and polite; I cannot say enough nice things about the way myself and my travel companions were treated. The room...

Short break for the rugby. Well looked after. Pietro the manager and all the staff extremely helpful. Excellent breakfast (especially the omelettes) by Fabrizio and well looked after by Juan Carlos and Davide. Cannot fault the hotel. Exceptionally clean and modern. Lovely rooftop bar and cocktails. Will definitely return. Thank you.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on last minute break to Rome. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. When we arrived we were allowed early check in and the room was lovely, very clean and modern but a tad on the small side. I must add that we were in the apartments that are...

We spent a night at the Independent as a compensation for some trouble we had at another hotel belonging to the group. They upgraded our room, and the management even left a bottle of wine for us in our room, which was much appreciated and very much enjoyed! the lady working at the reception on the morning of the 26th...

Superb hotel with fine attention to detail, close to Termini Train Station and where the airport coaches drop you off. This was a return visit to the hotel, something that was recognised by the hotel with a nice bottle of wine waiting for us when we entered our room. Room 603 had a lovely balcony where we could enjoy the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
