47 Hotel was a real gem of a hotel. Great location, just away from the hustle of the city but all within a 5 min walk to main sites. Staff professional. Rooms superb (love the shutters to get a better sleep). Bathroom was clean and spacious. Breakfast was basic and plentiful. All in all great hotal for a great city

Well I'll be short you get what you pay. We get advantage of their promotion Summer Longer and got a promo price+some gifts from the hotel... Strong points: - good location -access to all the Rome points of attraction; - clean rooms; - very very professional stuff at the reception; - nice view restaurant -supervalue for the rooms you get... We stayed at the Fortyseven on one of their special offers. Included in this was a breakfast buffet, dinner at the rooftop restaurant and a 50 Euro voucher to use towards the minibar or lunch at the restaurant. The restaurant has views of Trastevere and provided us with our best meal in Rome. We stayed in a classic double which... More

I booked several rooms at Hotel Fortyseven and I was very impressed with them. I was very impressed with the standard especially as I am very hard to please when it comes to a good hotel. The rooms were a good size, clean and bright and well maintained. The staff were polite and all spoke good English and were helpful... More

Awesome Hotel We stayed at the hotel between July 23 to 26 and we had a great stay. This is a modern hotel which is adjacent to most tourist sites. The staff at this hotel was amazing. The rooms are well laid out, excellent amenities and chic décor throughout. The food at the hotel was prefect as well and we... More

The location of the hotel was near the Coliseum and Roman Forum. While it was not convenient to walk to the subway, there was a city bus stop outside of the hotel that we used often. The staff at the hotel was helpful in determining which bus we needed based on our destination. The hotel was modern, clean, and had... More

Flew by Easyjet from Bristol. Um-ed and ah-ed about whether to get a limo or taxi transfer but ended up going with the Terravision Bus service to Termini and the 170 Bus from Termini to the hotel and returning the same way. Total cost per person 10 Euro, saving you the cost of around 2 diners, depending on what you... More

Make no mistake, this is a superb hotel if you don't expect or require the usual 'chain' hotel experience. We found the location ideal, it's not right in the tourist hotspot areas, but with the popular circular tourist bus routes a minutes walk away from the front door that's no problem. We like walking, so managed to see most of... More

This hotel was a great choice for us. Rooms are modern and spacious, restaurant is very pleasant, location is just far enough to leave you out of the city noise. The staff is always there when you need.

Stayed for 6 nights at end of July, beginning of August. The staff were cordial but not overly friendly but they were efficient so we were ok with that. We booked the basic room and it was quite large, no view, large king bed, very clean with large bathroom. TV is very small (19") if you care but if if... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighborhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighborhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
