We stayed a couple of nights while visiting Rome, the hotel has a good location, close to the trains, buses and tubes. The hotel is clean, we asked for gluten free breakfast and that wasn't a problem at all. Only negative are: the WIFI didn't work in our room, but it worked by the bar, the bar was more a... More

The hotels location was very good a short walk from Roma termini train station and a large bus stop area including the sight seeing buses. Also near a large supermarket which was super handy to grab snacks and water. Mini bar and safe with a clean bathroom. Room is old school and you can tell it has been around for... More

Stayed here in January and had an amazing experience which is why i've been trying to review it for a while now but couldn't find it on TripAdvisor - i was looking for Hotel Giorgina. Its quite basic but in Rome, who spends time in a hotel room anyway? You couldn't get a better location - its literally a 5... More

Stayed here for 4 nights,The older staff member at the front desk was very grumpy towards you when asking questions. He needs some trainning in people management. We stayed in the year 2015 at the end of june and it was in the middle of a massive heatwave that was hanging over Rome, temperatures sky rocketing to over 45 degress celsius. And our air-conditioning... Very decent hotel close to the main station - 5 minutes walk. Room was spacious and all amenities fine. Breakfast was good and staff very friendly. We had to leave early for an early morning flight and the staff were very accommodating to offer us an early breakfast. The attendant at the desk recommended an excellent restaurant in the area.

The only thing going for this hotel is its close to the railway station so you can make a quick exit, Had to fight to get our breakfast and argue with the male owner or manager, had to return to our room to get copy of our booking voucher and even then he showed his paperwork which was for another... It was a sweltering 86 degrees in Rome and our room was baking hot. We spoke with a hotel manager Guiseppe Pino for another 45 minutes to no avail. To actually get the names of hotel personnel was nearly impossible. The manager refused to tell us his name! Only the Bellman revealed some names to us for a tip. No... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
