Villa della Fonte awaits for you in a typical eighteenth century palace, with a fabulous terrace and its breathtaking view and with all the best services you can wish for. Johann Wolfgang Goethe once said: For only in Rome can one prepare oneself for Rome: and he was right. Even better if done at Trastevere – we dare to add – the most authentic neighborhood of this city. With its wonderful squares and typical alleys, it has always been the true beating heart of the city and not only because of its central location. From craft shops to charming squares and fountains, masterpieces of the finest art, till you reach the typical Roman “Trattorie”. Surrounded by all this is Via della Fonte d’Olio, typical alley in Trastevere not far from the fascinating Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. Within all the Hotels and the Guest Houses of Rome, Villa della Fonte has an enchanting and privileged location. In the heart of Trastevere it’s only a two minute walk from Trams and Buses that will easily take you to the most beautiful and famous places of our city: Colosseo, Fori Imperiali, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, Via Veneto, Fontana di Trevi and many others. All places are within reach even on foot. Staying at Villa della Fonte is no doubt the best oportunity to explore this magical and historical roman world.

The staff here are so lovely, friendly and attentive. The room was very clean and the included breakfast was excellent. Judith (not spelled correctly) and Edwardo were so friendly and helped us find everything we wanted in Rome. The outdoor terraces were very nice - I can imagine how great they are in the summer! There are only 5 rooms in the hotel. Very small and personal.

I was staying here for two nights during December 2019, and was very positively surprised by the hotel, its staff and general atmosphere. I have stayed many nights in Rome over the past 15 years, and this one is definately one of the best yet. Very comfortable bed - good pillows - charging available by both sides of the bed - working aircon also with heating. Spacious bathroom and well equipped with soaps etc. Staff is extremely nice, and very attentionus of their clients. It is a small and quiet hotel, away from larger streets. Plentiful and lovely breakfast with fresh bread, fruits and a selection of various excellent choices as side dishes. All in all - stay there to get the true Roman feeling and service by the great staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to going on a cruise. We arrived at 07.00 hrs and were greeted literally with open arms, as though we were long lost friends. Obviously, our room wasn't ready but we were provided with breakfast at no additional charge. The proprietors are super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the apartment across the road which was very spacious. Trastevere is a great location, full of restaurants and bars with cobbled streets and lots of piazzas. It's a short stroll over the river to the main tourist attractions. I can thoroughly recommend the place.

Thank you Villa Della Fonte for a perfect stay in Rome! The hotel is beautiful, clean, air conditioned and in a great location surrounded by fantastic restaurants. The breakfast is made to order and delicious. The terrace is a great place to relax. The best part of all was the hospitality. Giuditta and Eduardo made us feel SO welcomed. The staff all around is so warm and kind. They go above and beyond! This is our new home away from home and we can’t wait to return!

We stayed for four nights in October 2019 and loved our time at the hotel. We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival and the friendly and personal attention from the staff continued throughout our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the second floor terrace for breakfast and the upper terrace with a view of the Piazza was a lovely place to relax. We had requested assistance in advance of our visit with restaurant reservations, which they graciously handled for us. We found out when we arrived, that one of the restaurants we wanted is so popular that they don’t answer their phone to take reservations. So Eduardo actually walked several blocks to that restaurant to secure our reservation in person. He and Giudida made our stay very special. We would love to return someday.
