I planned to stay in not that expensive hotel travelling to Italy and I found that place. Very nice room, clean bathroom, TV set, fridge. Only one thing: I had to leave the key all the time on reception before going out. The breakfast was included, but the bread was a bit dry. There are a lit if nice cafeterias...

The receptionist unlocked our room, then we got stolen some stuff. The receptionist, wouldnt call the police, so we went to a police station, then they sent us to another, and then they said they couldnt handle that kind of things, so they sent a car down to the hotel. When we arrived to the hotel, the receptionist started lying...

This hostel was after reading not very positive reviews a great surprise! First, amazing location two minutes to Termini station - no need to spend money for public transport you cant even rely on; if youre ready to walk, you can walk to city center in few minutes. Second, really clean and quiet room with nice bathroom plus the air...

If you're looking for a cheap place to lay your head whilst travelling, this is a good place. Don't expect luxury, the rooms are okay, the bathrooms, not so good. But for the price you pay, it is a good deal. Great location as well and the staff are very nice. If you're on a tight budget like we were,...

If you are looking for a nice, affordable place to enjoy the delights of Rome, look no further. My stay at Hostel Stargate was highly satisfying. Great reception from Karim, amazing location, comfortable beds, nice people - all for a good price. Isn't this what every traveller looks for in a place to stay?

I had a goddo experience in stargate hotel. It has a great localizarion, the room was clean. They change the towels everyday. It should improve the air condicioning, the room was really hot and sometimes hard to sleep. The breakfast was ok. The wifi only works in the lobby, what is a bit inconvinient. It's a cheap hotel, i payee...

If you are looking for very cheap accommodations, and don't mind the hostel type feel, then this might be for you. But it wasn't for us. Our initial room on the ground floor was dark, hot, and not that clean, and it was very noisy. We were able to upgrade to a room on the 4th floor which was better....

Only stay here if you have absolutely no other choice. I'm not at all picky but this was by far the worst place I have ever stayed! The beds where horrible, the pillow as thin as a paper sheet and the least you can expect is a decent shower! Not even that!!! The water didn't come out so we had...

we booked a room for 5 person. besides the good location (termini station, one of the main station in Rome), there is nothing special about our stay there. the room is standard hostel with 2 bunk beds and 1 bed. the bathroom was clean and neat at first, but when we took a shower, the drainage was clogged and the...

Five of us stayed at the Stargate hostel/ hotel, on the 20th November for 3nights and we got given 2 separate rooms, the rooms are big but dirty, and there was no heating, it was cold, when we complained, they told us that the heating is always off, they gave us extra blankets, BUT the blankets were awfully dirty, yak!...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
