We spent 4 magical days in the hotel Stendhal, where we were pleasantly greeted by the staff on arrival. The rooms are extremely clean and well proportioned. Moreover we loved the little gestures and surprises from the hotel everyday, such as offering us a bottle of red wine on our first night, and biscuits a few days later. The staff's... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is basic but fit for purpose. The location is good. The real problem is the staff - all dressed up to look the part but all exceedingly lazy! Had a problem with the phone and safe not working (I was anxious to use the safe having just lost my wallet to a... More

Had such a fantastic time at Stendhal. This hotel is perfect. Great renovated rooms with high quality fabric lines walls, and balcony. Bery good value. Awesome location. But the best is the service. We had handwritten notes delivered to our room from the staff, and the sommelier Valerio greeted us with drinks and interesting recommendations on the way in and... More

The desk staff seemed overworked and had that sort of detached, remote, professional air that creates a feeling of separation between human beings. They were all hard working, all the wait staff and bell staff, but they had no real joy in their work that I could perceive. That was my impression of Rome too. Very beautiful, everyone working very... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great little boutique hotel, rooms was very spacious and very well kept. The housekeeping called twice daily which was a lovely touch. All the staff were very helpful and friendly especially Valerio and Marco. Very good choice for breakfast, didn't have any other meals in the hotel as we ate out. The hotel is very... More

My wife and I stayed just one night in mid-July, but I am happy to recommend this hotel. We stayed in the newer section in a nicely-appointed room. Service was excellent, and the location was perfect.

The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, but they are quite small. The location is excellent and very central: Its right around the corner from the Spanish Steps and you can walk to most of the major attractions. There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, so you never have to walk too far to find somewhere to eat.

Beautiful and new renovated hotel in the centre of Rome. The rooms are small but very comfortable. The staffs at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. A special thanks to the receptionist Suraj for his care and help.

Don't bother with VIP Package.I was dismayed over the last minute confusion over who was to pay for my transportation to the airport and stuck with a 55 Euro tab at the curb at the airport. Imagine my surprise when the driver asked me to pay, and in cash/no credit card - this after the hotel had arranged for the... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
