All the staff we're very polite and helpful. Rooms are very clean. Breakfast was alright nothing special. It's about 10-15 minute walk from the Central Termini station. The location of the hotel is absolutely disgusting. There is litter, graffiti, urine smelling streets and lots of immigrants that live there on the streets. It's not really a safe place to walk... After booking more for affordability than anything that's when I went looking and reading reviews and started to get a little nervous. We arrived at about 10pm after getting the train from the airport and we both were so so happy that the hotel was amazing, the man on reception was lovely and helpful we opted for the wifi but... This hotel has friendly staff, clean room but hard beds. The bathroom was really nice and clean. The breakfast was terrible, three buns on a plate. It's ok if you like jam buns. It's not in a very good area there was lots of rubbish in the streets and graffiti. You need your wits about you as we had a... More

My first trip to Rome and stayed here. V, Friendly and Clean, good location - not too far from a lot of the sights and close to good public transport. It is highly recommended. The only down side is lack of a lift.

Hotel is near Termini Station which isn't a very nice area to stay in as lots of graffiti and rubbish everywhere. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the collisseum and lots of nice bars and restaurants on the way. You need to walk a bit further (40+ min) to reach the Spanish steps Trevi Fountain Pantheon and the... More

I stayed at the Taormina for 4 nights with two friends to celebrate our birthdays. The hotel was recommended by our local travel agent, mainly for its location. The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable and the reception staff were fairly helpful. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as stairs to reception and no lift. Our room (for... More

I stayed here for 4 days in July 2016 and had a great experience! Being someone who likes to stay in plush hotels when on holiday, I was a little bit nervous/dubious of staying in a B&B type hotel. But I read reviews, that it was cheap, clean and near a metro and the pictures of rooms looked pretty standard.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
