Location was good, but breakfast, rooms, staff not ! Breakfast was everyday same, nothing special and for veggie people ? Absolutly nothing to eat... During our staying in hotel, we asked staff for change the room, because we live in room, which was not in the main building (hotel has 2) and where was everything to heard, noisy and we... More

The room was clean and it's size was acceptable and we had air conditioner in it. The receptionists were friendly and they always helped us. The only thing what was embarrassing is that we had to pay for the wi fi. The breakfast is good, the choice is not wide but there's many delicious food for instance watermelon, toast, cereal... Actually, we stayed there for 2 nights and I would say that the hotel is rather ok for its 3 stars. The room was small but clean and nice, the breakfast was ok too. We were surprised, that we couldn't pay a tourist tax by the credit card, the guy on reception asked us about cash (!!) and played as... More

It was a part of our tour booking so we had to stay there for two nights. They kept saying no for every request that we had like ac, plug point, internet service, early breakfast etc and additional taxes was charged. One of the male Reception staff was rude as well.I would not recommend this place at all.

The hotel is conveniently located East of Manzoni or South of Roma Termini train/subway stations (about 10 minutes away). They normally include breakfast, which is very simple (i.e. bread, ham, jam, ham, coffee, orange juice, cereal, fruit) but enough to nicely start your day. Some people complain about street noise, I was in a room facing Via Giolitti and I... More

This establishment claim to be a 3-star hotel when in reality is a youth hostel! I stayed for 3-nights, and was sleep-deprived for all of my holiday in Rome, due to the noise pollution coming from the large group of teenagers and their carers that were staying there too. Be warn, this place receives large groups of very rude and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights recently and was not overly impressed. The hotel isn't in the greatest part of town - You're looking at a 15min walk to see the sites, through a pretty dodgy looking neighborhood. Yes there is a Metro/Tramstop nearby which helps in getting to/from. The rooms are small. Very Small. There were 3 of us in... More

For place to sleep/stay in Rome on a budget this hotel was great. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel always looked clean as long as you didn't investigate thoroughly. Some minor building/renovation work was happening but was done so not to disturb the guests and as it was improving the hotel I have no complaints about that.... More

Reading the previous reviews you'd think that this hotel was 21st century Fawlty Towers. That's just not fair!. The staff were unfailingly charming, the breakfasts nutritious and typically continental (cheese, meat and jam available) and the location not the seedy den of iniquity as described by others. Yes, the rooms are small and the walls are thin (but the management... More

I don't really know how they have achieved a 3* rating as there is very little about the hotel to warrant it! We stayed in the annexe in a room that was clearly designed as a double/twin and then converted into a four person family room. God job there weren't 4 of us as it would be very cosy! Pro's... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
