Albergo Occento is discretely located just around the corner from the Barberini Metro Station about 75 yards, which is on the main A line giving access to many of the important tourist attractions in Rome. Only a short walk and you are at the Trevi Fountain or the Spanish steps. We also walked up to the Villa Borgese and Piazza... More

Good hotel, perfect location, friendly and helpfull staff at the front office. We stayed there for a couple of days and found everything to be ok...except for the breakfast time. There was a lot of confusion during those hours maybe because the waitress always seemed to be nervous on somebody and resentful. She didn't quite understand what we were asking,... More

Travelled in June 2014. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We found it very easy to walk to most places we were visiting, it was clean, the internet was a little slow but definitely not an issue. Would definitely recommend to others without hesitation.

Near Barberini metro station, Very good breakfast. Alex at front desk helpful in recommending restaurants. Patricia at the front desk was helpful as she called a maintenance worker to determine what was causing the awful smell in the bathroom shower and fix. We waited hours for him to arrive from another hotel. Afterward I asked Patricia what he did and... More

Great hotel great location great food great people. Would absolutely stay here again. The only improvement I would like is to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Easy walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain heaps of shopping and restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

We could not have made a better choice than to return to Albergo Ottocento! Arriving in Rome after 24 hours of flying we were met at the airport by a friendly and efficient driver who transferred us to the hotel in a flash Mercedes. Our room was on the top floor of this boutique hotel and although small it was... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
