This hotel is a perfect location if you are on a city break in Rome. You walk out of the hotel door and within 3 mins you are at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. The staff were fantastic. Really nice and helpful. The room is small but fine as on a city break you are only in the... More

I stayed here with my husband on the first leg of our honeymoon. the hotel is, if a little basic, in a great location for all the sightseeing a tourist would want. We found it a great base for our busy days, with friendly, helpful staff, and clean amenities. Recommended for anyone who wants a base for their adventures in... More

Stayed for 4 nights in March 2009. Hotel is located a few minutes from the Spanish Steps and 5 mins from the Trevi fountain. All the designer shops are only a few roads away. The hotel room was small and the bed was the hardest I had ever slept on - extremely uncomfortable. The shower ran hot and cold, there... More

Just come back from a long weekend in Rome staying at the City Hotel. The staff were always helpful and polite, the rooms were clean and comfortable with linen and towels changed daily, and the location was very central. We stayed in rooms at the front of the hotel and were not bothered by outside noise despite having the windows... More

This is not a Bed and Breakfast, but an apartment. The pictures are very accurate, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen stocked wi th the everything you need to cook with, a spare bed in the couch. The doors all locked and we felt very secure there. The location was perfect right between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Being an... More

A charming little hotel extremely well located for most of central Rome. The hotel is sited on the second floor, with interesting interpretation panels on the ground floor explaining its history. The lift from the ground floor to the hotel was built in the early years of the last century and is a gem - you certainly couldn't find a... More

Characterful, old-style 3* Italian urban hotel with simple, clean, A/C rooms, marble bathrooms, well-mannered staff, an excellent location (near Trevi Fountain) and reached by an ancient wooden lift which would be illegal in Spain. Rooms at the front are for me impossibly noisy with traffic (especially as the window didn´t close fully): I couldn´t sleep so we changed next day... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
