My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights before going on a Mediterranean cruise. Hotel City was small, but had an old fashion quaint charm, and had an awesome location. Hotel City was about a 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi fountain, and Pantheon. The hotel is surrounded by amazing cafes, restaurants and shopping. The... More

Just left this hotel after a 3 night stay with husband. We stayed in a twin room (beds pushed together but we didn't mind). Room and bathroom were clean and the air con was excellent. Some noise outside from building works on street but windows blocked most out. All staff were friendly and helpful, explained best ways to get around,... More

City Hotel is a good hotel and the awesome location in Rome - near the Spanish steps. Metro Spagna is in few hundred feet away. This hotel is clean. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is ok. The good thing that A/C is cool which is helpful in July. Cons: Internet is not good - the wifi signal is very weak. 2... More

We chose this hotel mainly based on the location. Its got the Spanish Steps located within 5 minutes in one direction, and the Trevi Fountain within 5 minutes in the other. All the other top tourist sites are easy to reach from this hotel as well. We had breakfast included in our stay. It was a good continental buffet, but... More

It's nice hotel . Excellent central location next to Spanish steps. Little expensive. Only limitation that they do not provide teal and coffee arrangement in the room. You are to buy it. The front desk is very cooperative . Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We recommend that one should stay here

We chose the City Hotel because of its location in the center of Rome as we wanted to explore the city by foot. The hotel is ideally located to walk to all main attractions, Trevi Fountain approx 5 mins, Colosseum/Palatine Hill/The Forum approx 25 mins, St Peters/Vatican approx 35 mins and Pantheon approx 15 mins. Our room over looked Via... More

Perfect hotel when used as a base for visiting Rome. Centrally located and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions, Spanish Steps 5 minutes, Trevi Fountain 5 minutes and Colloseum 15-20 minutes. Breakfast was adequate although basic. Would go back.

If you come to Rome to have some rest, avoid absolutely this place: the rooms are overlooking a courtyard which sounds very much, with strong odors of restaurants. A shame! The choice of this hotel has tempered our stay.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
