We stayed in the dorm room at the Beehive and were very pleased with the accomodations. The beds were comfortable and access to the restrooms was never a problem. The hostel was clean and safe. The hostel has a great cafe and free access to the Internet.

If you're planning on staying in the Termini area, and want a nice clean hostel with no party atmosphere- then the Beehive is the place. We stayed in the dorms for only one night (on our way by train the next day), and will definitely stay again. The rooms and the bathrooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable...

Contemporary, trendy and very comfortable. Conveniently right next to Termini train station. Everyone who works there was incredibly nice. Love the wall of photos in the common area. All natural breakfast at the cafe was delicious. Soap and shampoo provided in the bathrooms were amazing. Only thing that could possibly be a turn off was the fact that there was...

i definately love The Beehive. I stayed in their dorm & apartment, and both also are one of my faviriate accomodation in Italy. The location is good, walking distance from Termini, and easy access either by bus or taxi.

I have just had a party of 40 people in Rome for my 60th birthday. It took a year of organizing and Linda was very helpful. Although she was away during our visit, she responded promptly to e-mails, juggled guests as we rented a couple of the apartments, rooms at the Beehive, and other accommodation through cross-pollinate. The rooms were...

The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. A minor problem (in many European hotels) was squeaky doors! Breakfasts were a delight - so tasty and satisfying. Internet, a reading room and an attractive outside garden BBQ area were appreciated facilities.

We stayed at Arcacia apartment at Beehive. The location was brilliant, so close to Termini meant lots of buses, trains and tram nearby. This of course brings traffic noise which made sleeping with the window open noisy. Shutters were provided and these helped keep the noise down. Kitchen and bathroom and our bedroom were all clean. Beehive staff friendly and...

Stepping through the gate to the Beehive after walking a few blocks from the train station was such a relief. The garden and peace that was there just on the other side of the wall. We were met by the nicest man who helped us finish the registration process and show us around. We felt like we were become part...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The Beehive is a cool, stylish, eco-friendly budget hostel/hotel owned by an American couple, Linda & Steve, who came to Rome to follow a dream.
