The staff at The Beehive went out of their way to make my stay fantastic. Not only was the hostel clean and warm, the manager Yuli gave me great recommendations on places to eat, helped me reserve a place at major tourist sites and even unlock my phone! Would definitely recommend for your stay in Rome :)

Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable and were pleasantly surprised that there was a little cafe for breakfast. The ladies working there were all so nice and helpful. We had a beautiful stay and will definitely be back next time we're in Rome!!!

Highly recommend.:-) I will definitely be back at the Hive! The staff was helpful and creative with the recommendations and the room was perfect for the purpose. If you are looking for something practical and extremely close to Termini station, go no further!

Didn’t expect that the Classic Rooms are so huge and cozy as it is classified as “privacy on a budget”. The room is clean and comfortable, just sweet for us! There’s amenities such as sink, safes and hairdryer in room and shared fridge available. The service and environment in Beehives hostel is impeccable, the cafe and small lounge downstairs is...

I came for the Women's March and decided last minute to spend the night in Rome to attend a storytelling event at the Beehive. I needed a place to stay and I gladly snatched up one of the few remaining beds in the mixed dorm. The Beehive is so well managed, cheerful and clean--never had a problem finding a free...

Felt very welcome. Clean and modern rooms. Also at a great location, next to termini station. Next to the neighbourhood monti, I really liked that area. There's a common room with fridge so you can make your own breakfast if you like. Great service, there's even an app.

We stayed in a private room with en suite. So much space and also a shared kitchen/living area. We had breakfast both mornings during our stay - tofu scramble was delicious. Great value - not sure why anyone would want to pay more! We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at The Beehive. We had two rooms for four people. Common/shared shower and toilets were the norm for residents in this part of the ho(s)tel and that was fine with us. Each were cleaned daily. Only issue we had was with hot water for showers as it fluctuated a bit but fixed that with better...

The owners have really thought about the details here, and you can tell from the moment you walk in. There's a great outdoor area where you can enjoy a drink in the shade and socialize - just blocks from Rome's central train station, but a total oasis in itself! Highly recommend downloading The Beehive app/pdf guide for extra tips on...

I stayed at the Beehive in a private room and had a very lovely stay. The staff is lovely and extremely helpful. The location of the hotel is very convenient and well located to the Termini for ease of use of buses and the train to the airport. I had breakfast on premises 2x and also loved that. It was...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
