I stayed at the San Remo hotel at the end of May. It was a great place to stay while in Rome. It is located about 10mins walking distance from the Termini train station and subway station (termini). The hotel is near a lot of cafes and restaurants, also since its near the train station you can take advantage of...

The hotel staff were lovely, helpful and kind. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious - very big, Our 7 year old and 3 year old had a great time. We did not spend too much time at the hotel as there was so much we needed to see and enjoy in Rome, but when we return we will stay here...

I booked a triple room inclusive of breakfast through Octopus travel. It was our 1st Rome trip together as a family. As it was our last stop in Italy, our luggages were expected to be heavier, therefore decided to get a hotel near the train station to minimise the strain. It was a breeze locating the hotel as we googled...

This was an average hotel in terms of the room, nothing fancy. The breakfast was good and it is close to the termini station which makes it convenient. The staff spoke resonably good English and most of them were friendly and helpful. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad either.

This hotel is 3 star, typical European, modest by North American standards but very clean and the staff are attentive. What they call a cold buffet breakfast in the brochure is head and shoulders above what North Americans would recieve at at Comfort Inn etc Lots of fruit, cereals, variety of cold cheeses and meats, eggs, bread, rolls etc. Easy...

The staff are not friendly and they could not handle things properly when the hotel is busy with people checking in and checking out. The room seems to be in good condition but still we both got bitten by some sort of bugs in the room. The hot water plant was broken for 2 days but no one informed us...

We booked a week to Rome with Citalia. Upon arrival the receptionist on duty was quite friendly but the other reception staff were actually quit rude, We got in our room and jumped on our bed to find it was rock hard. We had no hot water for the week and the hair dryer didn't work. I asked the receptionist...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
