The staff at the Hotel were extremely helpful and very friendly. Our room was cleaned every day and the breakfast had hot and cold food to choose from and a lovely selection of pastry’s etc. I am a Coeliac and they looked after me well. Although the room was clean and tidy we did find it was a little too small for us and if we stayed there again we would prefer a bigger room. Overall a fabulous hotel with lovely reception staff especially Francesco who helped reunite us with our lost phone…a really lovely man! We hope to return to Rome again one day and this lovely Hotel will certainly be one we will consider..thank you 😊

We had room number 1, right between reception and the kitchen for the bar, evening snacks and breakfast.

An additional intermediate door (which was open at night on some days... for some reason?) makes the room quiet.

Cleanliness
The room was cleaned daily, towels, toilet paper, soap were changed/refilled daily
Waste was disposed of.

Comfort
Beds are good.
BD installed but not connected.
Even when asked, they only said "The BD function is broken".
No repairs.
The hand shower is OK, the rain shower is more of a drizzle.
The bathroom is half wet after showering.

Entertainment.
TV (30") ? can be set to Italian and English.
Ideal for language trips^^
Data storage devices for films are sometimes recognized.
Smart functions are not available on the TV
Internet
Wi-Fi is available and (with us) included.
Fridge
Available and included with us. Water, beer.

Food
Had half board.
Breakfast, minibar and dinner included.

Alessantra (I hope that is the correct spelling)
is the pearl of the house, responsible for the rich and delicious breakfast as well as for snacks in the evening and deserves a lot of praise.
You definitely have to try the little cakes.
They are exceptional.

Alessantra helped with communication problems, if something was missing she tried to help.
The only one who understood a little German.

In summary:
Small hotel, clean, quiet. Quite central for Rome and quite cheap.
If Alessantra offers to prepare dinner for you with half board, a tip: accept it ;-).

Price/performance despite TV and shower.. Top

Stars?
OK.. A very good three.

Hotel Villa Grazioli is a beautiful space to explore the city of Rome. I personally loved the details and the kindness of everyone who worked at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast and cappuccino were wonderful, offering a delicious start to each day with a variety of options to suit every taste.

In the evenings, you can join for Happy Hour, as the bar space has quite the vibe. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy a drink while chatting with other guests. The hotel's location is also fantastic; we slept so well and found that we were within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants, making it convenient to explore the local dining scene.

Hotel Villa Grazioli provides a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and convenience, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy all that Rome has to offer. :)

The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring Rome without having to stay in the Centro Historico, which is completely overrun by tourists in the summer. Many bus stops within minutes of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite excellent the rear outdoor area of the hotel, you can have breakfast there in the morning, and from 5pm until late at night the well-kept outdoor hotel bar is a very pleasant place.

My partner and I went to this hotel following the good overall reviews and the photos that made us want it. Overall the experience in this hotel was not what we expected, here is why:

Firstly, we were disappointed when we arrived in our room because it was much more dilapidated and dated than the photos online on the website. The overall condition of the room clearly leaves something to be desired: hole in the walls, holes in the bathroom door, damaged and blackened walls, damaged sink and bidet, broken toilet seat, damaged toilet paper holder, mold in the bathroom, completely dry joints, shelf that threatens to fall, rusty towel holder, no more ventilation in the bathroom, visible dirt (nails, hair) in the room's drain, etc.

Then, it is indicated on the website that the rooms are equipped with a kettle, except we had neither kettle nor tea or coffee bags available. Also, we requested a dry cleaning service and we were told that this was no longer offered... without offering us an alternative solution.

On the other hand, regarding breakfast, the person who will serve you (Alessandra) is incredibly kind, but what a shame not to have any food prepared on site: industrial cakes and juices in cartons served in carafes. Only scrambled eggs, bacon and small sausages are prepared on site in the morning.

Finally, what a surprise to hear work starting at 8:45 a.m. with very loud hammering noises for almost an hour; but also that, on the day of departure, to see the cleaning lady trying to open the room to find out what time she will be able to come and clean, then to come back 30 minutes later to ask us the same question.

This has nothing to do with the rest of the staff of the establishment who were very kind and pleasant with us during our stay, simply that the owner of this establishment should seriously review the quality of his services, which in our opinion are not worth clearly not the price we paid and the 4 stars. We would have had a renovated room (i.e. the photos you see) it would surely have been different.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the location is very accessible by bus to landmarks such as the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. Breakfast is included which was a buffet style savoury (eggs and bacon) as well as sweet (croissants and fresh fruit) + coffee!
Within walking distance there is a shopping centre and many little shops to check out. The staff is very accommodating and the building was well heated even during the winter months.

This trip was for my husband’s 40th birthday, and as well as booking our package through Secret Escapes, I had also contacted the hotel directly to ask about some special requests that could be added to make the trip more special as a surprise for my husband.
I was emailed the next day and offered a welcome drink and a potential upgrade if there was one available.
I responded to let them know that we already had a welcome drink included in our package, and if I could instead be made aware of any possible upgrade categories that I would be willing to pay extra for.
I also asked if they would put a bottle of champagne in the room for arrival, again which I was willing to pay for.
I never heard back from the hotel, and on arrival we were simply and briefly greeted with our room card and no offer or mention of a welcome drink.

When we got to the room, it was tinier than some of the most budget hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. I appreciate that this was a small boutique hotel, but I had asked for an upgrade and there was no sign of this, nor was there anything awaiting us in the room to surprise my husband with.
I was deeply disappointed at this point.
Nevertheless, we decided to go out and explore the local neighbourhood, and eat at the hotel that night from their “light bites” menu , as it was very hot and we were quite tired.
However, when we returned and went to the outdoor bar later, we were told there was no food available as the chef wasn’t there. So once again, we had to head out and find somewhere else to eat, when we had wanted to enjoy the hotel.
When I spoke to the hotel the next day, they could not account for the lack of communication from them regarding the requests I’d made, and told me we had been upgraded.
We eventually got our welcome drinks taken off of our bill, which wasn’t quite the same as enjoying them after a long journey from the airport.
As a couple who had previously been in Paris in April for my 40th birthday, and were greeted with glasses of champagne on arrival and a room decorated with more champagne waiting upstairs (at again my husband’s paid request) , this was an immediate let down from the start of the trip. More communication is needed with guests to ensure they have the experience they have hoped for, especially when it is for a special occasion.

The hotel and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. We particularly liked the small bar in the back courtyard. Our room was very spacious and clean and we had a large roof terrace where we could sit in the evening while our child slept in the room.
Drinks and food were also brought to the room and all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. A good starting point for a trip to Rome. We would love to come back!!!

Wonderful hotel! Very beautiful lobby and hall! Lovely delicious breakfasts, very welcoming and friendly staff.
The rooms are nice and comfortable too. We stayed in a room for two and it was very convenient. And I would like to mention especially the very nice soft bed and the big shower.
Also the hotel has its own bikes and there is a park nearby where you can cycle or run in the morning.
The location is great - even though it is not very close to the subway, it is extremely close to the bus station and to the city center of Rome even on foot. The area is very clean and beautiful, the hotel itself is right next to the embassy so it is very safe around.
Thank you very much to the hotel and the staff for our stay!

Unfortunately, we did not get a renovated room and while we did not book a renovated room, we hoped one would be available after our room was assigned. There were rooms they could have upgraded/changed us to, but they said they were full, which is questionable, but I am unable to dispute. Our room was clean and just okay, however the toilet and shower were not in good working order and this really is not acceptable for a hotel that rates itself as a four star.

Staff was friendly and the location was very good. Bus and tram are available into the historic center and if you are fit you can walk.
