Take my word - DO NOT STAY HERE! If like air conditioning to actually COOL the air then this is NOT the place for you. If you like wifi to work, then this is NOT the place for you. If you don't want horribly tacky nude paintings on velvet wallpaper, then this is NOT the place for you. If you... More

I stayed in this hotek for 2 nights. Staffs were cordial as usual. Breakfast was good. Good location; colosseum, palatino, roman forum, train station and bus stops are just a walking distance. Rooms are well decorated, wide, awesome cotton made wall. Bad thing was that the, wifi was slow.

Been to Roma twice. This hotel is the best based on the amount that I had paid. It's roomy for 3 of us and the bed were comfy plus it's a stone away from the train station. I think I would said it the best hotel that I had stayed for my 18 days of vacation.

We checked into this hotel after discovering the hotel that we had booked was a flea pit. Prior to checking in, the receptionist allowed us to look at a number of their rooms to ensure we were happy. The room was clean, tidy, and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and there were complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was... More

Potential to be a real classy hotel, but missing the finer points. Our room did not have any curtains...so we figured that was standard, but no...so Management must think its OKAY for the hotel to have a room with no curtains. The WIFI was hit and miss all time. Moving from one floor to required connecting to another server. By... More

Hotel Madison was a very average hotel. Located right across from the entrance to Termini station, the location was perfect for taking the train. The hotel in general was very average/below-average. The lobby and rooms were mostly clean and well kept but there was no view from the rooms. If you want a spacious room I strongly suggest you book... More

Very close to the train station...but not worth it. The people in front of me at check in were staying a few nights, the were treated with smiles. I was staying one night, then jumping on a train to explore the rest of Italy. I was treated with disrespect. The room, once found during the maze...oh and the maid didn't... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
