I really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this hotel. It's not central but not too fat to walk to The Vatican, it is uphill on the way back but if you pace yourself, it's manageable. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the roof...More
After a few nights staying at this hotel my fiancé and I was both waking up with an alarming amount of bites and they were getting worse each night. I am 18 weeks pregnant so it was quite alarming it wasn’t until I woke up...More
Short walk from Vatican is only one plus of this place...friendly staff but food is horrible not much selection... noisy during the night and early in the morning. Request room not on the ground floor ...as is too close to reception and breakfast area.
Hotel Alessandrino was the perfect place for our family of 5 to stay for a few days. The front desk was very accommodating with our needs (place to store luggage until room was ready) and answered all questions. Free breakfast was delicious! Eggs, bacon, pastries,...More
- Small, traditional hotel.
- Nice small rooftop terrace and another more sheltered one.
- Very quiet area
- Good air con in room - very effective and quiet enough to leave on overnight
- Small shop nearby

It is possible to get from the airport to the hotel by taxi or train. If you take the train you will have to change trains and then walk with your luggage from the closest station to the hotel and it will be mostly up hill. I would suggest going by taxi as we did and the total cost depending on the size of the family will be similar. I am sorry that I don't remember the cost of the taxi but there were 4 adults and we were all able to get into one taxi with our luggage.
As for the room, we had 2 rooms and there is an elevator. I was able to communicate with the hotel by email and phone which is what I would suggest in terms of room location and family accommodations.
