My husband and I stayed at Aurelius Art Gallery for a week, Oct 6-13. We were met by the hotel manager, Elmer, who was so friendly and very helpful. He let us know there was a metro line nearby, about about a 3 minute walk. He suggested we buy our weekly passess from the local Tabacci rather than the metro station as the machines are usually out of service or have long line ups. The room was very clean, comfortable, had air conditioning and a little fridge. There was also a grocery store across the street from the hotel which was very handy. This hotel is away from the city centre of Rome which was a nice break from the touristy hustle and bustle. The prices and food of the local restaurants were also much better than those near all the tourist attractions. I highly recommend the Aurelius Art Hotel if you want bang for your buck and I would definitely stay there again

It was our first time in Rome and we decided to stay here for our anniversary. I really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and it was near transportation. Save money and take the bus from the airport to the hotel. The bus stop is close to the hotel and not a far walk at all. Elmer at the front desk was amazing. When we first arrived he saved us from being charged extra by paying cash for us and allowing us to pay him back. No stranger has ever done anything like that for us. It definitely set the tone for the rest of the trip. We will definitely book here next time.

As newlyweds I thought I would book the Lovely room after I saw a recommendation in here and thank God I did! The sauna and massage chair in the bathroom were great after a long day walking and walking. Our flight arrived very late so the only way to go to the hotel was by taxi which cost 60 euros. Thank God the receptionist was there to open for us. I forgot to ask until what time they stay and a friend at the flight told me that not every reception stays until late in Rome so I was worried. The bed is comfortable, the shower is lovely, the subway is very near, what more do you need? Loved it!

The front desk clerk was very helpful and showed me how to take the train to all my destinations. I loved the terrace we had and the room was a good size. I paid a great price for the two day stay. I would definitely stay there again! The souvenir shop next to the hotel was very affordable too. I thank my cousin Christina P. for recommending this hotel to us. Thanks for a nice stay and all your help with showing me how to get around using the train station and getting us a cab so early in the morning. Keep up the good work and again, thanks.

When I had the opportunity to visit Rome, I wanted to make sure that whilst I wasn't too far from the "normal" sites, I would be off the beaten path of sorts. I was tickled to find Aurelius Art Gallery Smart Hotel Rome. They're not too far from the Cornelia subway station (a mere few stops from the Vatican for not many Euros at all). The staff here, especially Elmer, have been wonderful and they do more than just grunt at you or give you a curt nod as you go by. They actually ask how you are doing and if there is anything you might need. I really like that a lot. The room I got was clean and well kept. The cleaning staff are fast and thoughtful. Due to extreme jet lag, there were a couple times when I was dozing on the couch (which doubles as a hide-a-bed), and she buzzed right through my room painlessly. Always a smile that met her eyes, too. Nothing "business". If and when I return, I plan to stay here again. I can't imagine finding a better place. So there. :) Thank you, Elmer, for being awesome -- and I'm glad the mezzo-soprano went elsewhere -- finally. <grin>

We absolutely loved our stay here, couldn't fault the place at all. We stayed in what they call 'The Lovely Room' which we booked direct via their website. For a better room we were getting better rates than what sites like booking.com were offering for standard rooms. Our room had a fancy shower, a massage chair and a sauna. It was also beautifully decorated, as is the whole hotel with their art and sculptures laid throughout the property. Our room also had a fridge with a small freezer compartment and tea making facilities, plus a tv. Basically it had everything we needed and more. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The owner in partiular is a lovely man and would go above and beyond to try and fulfil any request you have. Although the hotel is out of the city centre itself, having both bus and metro (subway) stops around the corner make travel around Rome really easy. We used the metro every day and never had a problem. The place was very easy to navigate. Probably our favourite holiday to date, we give this hotel, and Rome itself, both 5/5.

Location is very good. It's far from the city center but in the direct line of Termini station with the metro stop just around the corner. The SIT bus from FCO airport stops two minutes away. There is a big Coop supermarket in front. Plenty of bus stops around and even restaurants. As for the hotel, it's perfection. Big rooms, nothing like in the city center. They are clean, comfortable, quiet, and on top of it the staff is amazing. The front desk manager is a jewel. Incredibly kind, welcoming, and happy to help. After about 10+ visits to Rome this is a hotel I want to come back to.

Close to transportation, restaurants, and shopping. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly, informative, and very courteous. It was a very pleasant stay and I will recommend to my family and friends. There is a metro and bus pickup around the corner within 4-5 minute walk.

The host was kind, helpful, and very friendly! Walking past it on the street you wouldn’t expect such a beautiful lobby and the room was clean, comfortable and cool which is essential for visiting Rome in the summertime. 10/10
