The owner was the sweetest woman I had come across in my time in Italy. However, the hotel was a bit different than what I had anticipated, but it is my fault. You may show up and not think it is a hotel... since it is not on the ground floor, and you enter a SKETCHY hallway and take a...

I spent 2 nights here recently. My first ever visit to Rome. I arrived at night. The man on desk was helpful and recommended somewhere to eat. Overall the experience was very good and excellent value for money. In fact for a European Capital it was outstanding value. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if I should return to this city.

Their security system is modern and has been recently upgraded and the hotel is clean and the beds are quite comfortable. Breakfast is sufficient, the coffee is amazing! I look forward to...

Stayed here(Room #10, Standard Double) for 2 nights when we visited Rome in Dec 2016. Had a different hotel reservation for the rest of the stay at Rome. Thank you for your comments which are valuable to us. However, I would like to clarify a few points Wi-Fi , as mentioned on our site is available in all public areas of the Hotel. However, many guests are able to connect to it successfully in the rooms. Much depends on the device used. Our Hotel is small and all...

We love the location close to rail and so many attractions. Once again Jean and all the friendly staff at this boutique hotel could not be more helpful. This hotel was recommended by as friend. It did not disappoint. It was clean; the staff were great and the location was perfect for seeing Rome on foot. It is about 15 minutes from the Termini train station and about the same to many of the major attractions. This is not a high end, luxury hotel but it is very...

We stayed at Hotel Giuliana for five nights. The hotel is conveniently located a half mile from the Termini Station. All the rooms including ours are located above a street market that sets up at 5 am every morning. We tried to sleep with the window open and the room was quiet until 5 when the vendors started setting up....

Great location! Very close to Termini station, perfect if you're coming from the Train or airport, or if you will be taking the bus or metro during your stay. Walking distance to Coliseum, Via Sacra, Capitoline Hill. Via Urbana and Via Cavour are both very lively with lots of restaurants/ shops/ gelato/ supermarkets for evening meals. We met two men...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
