Neighborhood
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

What a lovely place. The location is great and the house is old and cozy. Room was nice and spotlessly clean! We arrived in the BnB and were greeted by a lovely older lady, who later turned out to be the cleaning lady. She didn't speak a single word of English but used Google translate and our conversation went on smoothly. The kitchen is small and simple but fully equipped and worked well. It was really great to have the option to cook for ourselves and we had such a good time. The owner came later in the evening and knocked on our door because he noticed a mistake in the receipt. It was quickly solved and he apologized several times for disturbing us and even ended up giving us a gift. A really friendly and kind hearted person! The tv in the room also had a LOT of channels and the option to see shows in their original language, which was not very necessary for us, but made our evening even more pleasureable! Breakfast was good! We could leave our bags after checking out, which was however a bit confusing because the lady in the morning struggled to explain to us where to leave them. Minor inconvenience which didn't make our stay any less pleasant. Takk

We have just returned from a four night stay at this lovely welcoming B&B. We were greated by Doreena who was very helpful and gave us a tour of the room showing us the facilities and how to use everything. She also helped with any questions we had about Rome and getting around. We had the family room with Kitchen which is named Alessia, which was perfect for our needs. Very spacious and clean, fresh towels every day. We were most grateful for the exceptionally comfortable beds after a day exploring! We were very well looked after by a lovely lady called Jacinta who each morning prepared delicious cappuccinos for me and hot chocolates for our children. For breakfast we enjoyed yummy brioche with chocolate or vanilla fillings, fruit, yoghurt and juice. Jacinta even came to ensure we had breakfast for our early departure this morning. Langauge was a bit of a barrier as our Italian was limited but with the help of Google translate we got by. There is a little place selling the best pizza across the road as well as a great gelato vendor. Dine at Grottino di Abruzzo just round the corner on Via Palermo. Great food and service. Dont bother with the mini market across the road. Its very expensive and there is a Coop supermarket around the corner on Via Nazionale. We highly recommend this lovely B&B, cant thank them enough for making our trip so special and hope to return again one day.

Just back from a 3 night stay and everything was incredible. Location was excellent, walking distance to everything, restaurants, ice cream and bars close by. We were made to feel very welcome straight away as we checked in, room was large, clean and very comfortable with a small balcony. Breakfast was great, biggest brioche I've ever seen, great coffee. Breakfast is in the kitchen area to then take back to the room. (got told off for trying to wash up) Biggest stand out for me were the lovely ladies that were amazing. Nothing too much trouble, didn't laugh at my attempt at Italian and gave some great recommendations, just really sorry I didn't come away with their names. The only thing that could be better is the description as to how to find it. Small road so you would expect it to be simple but it's tucked away in a lovely gated courtyard. Not impossible to find as we did find it but we did walk passed it twice. Thank you for making a beautiful weekend in Rome even better!!

From the moment we arrived late at night to the end of our stay we were made very welcome. Fantastic location in the centre of Rome on a quiet side street within easy walking distance to all of the sites we wanted to visit. The whole little community of the street were really friendly with us, especially the owner and patrons of the fantastic wine bar just opposite the guest house. Room was clean and airconditoned and very good value for the price. Nothing was too much problem to make our visit to Rome memorable.
