We never even needed to eat supper out (but of course we did :) )with the lovely evening goodies they provide. We too would like to give a...

Stayed at the river palace at the end of march 2012. The kind staff upgraded us to a superior double and the room itself was lovely and decorated in a classic style. The breakfast was great with a large selection, fruit, cereals, pastries, yoghurts, eggs etc as well as teas, coffee and juices. The hotel is situated near piazza del...

A long weekend in Rome staying at the River Palace Hotel. Breakfast brilliant with everything you could wish for to keep your strength up for what must be a long day. Situated 15 minutes stroll from the Spanish steps, five more and you are at the Trevie fountain. Another 25 and the Collosium is there in front of you in...

The staff is very accommodating, starting with the bellboy/concierge (two brothers from Ecuador who made great suggestions and helped us to enjoy every minute and tips on how to save some euros). I was so happy to see that the lobby restroom had a bidet (what a refreshing touch). We had a room overlooking Via Flaminia. It’s a great location...

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
