River Palace Hotel is a quaint hotel just outside Piazza Del Popolo. Rooms were small but cozy. Staff was also friendly and very helpful. A generous breakfast buffet was served daily. No room service fyi. Great half price happy hour. This was a business trip mixed with a few days of pleasure. This hotel seemed centrally located. Subway was near...

This isn't luxurious in the Ritz Carlton sense but it was quaint, beautiful and perfectly located. It was tucked away from the loud throngs of tourists, but a very easy walk to get to many of the main attractions or a 5 minute walk to the metro. PROS: - Location - Safety - Cleanliness - High quality breakfast (available for...

I have just returned from the River Palace hotel having taken my Mum as a 60th birthday surpise. The hotel is absolutely fantastic, a two minute walk from Flaminio Metro station and a pleasant five minute walk from the main shopping street Via Del Corso. All of the main attractions are so easy to get to from the hotel. The...

I was torn between 2 or 3 hotels for this trip and am pleased to say I picked a good one in the River Palace. We had never been to Rome before and after reading reports were a wee bit apprehensive. We landed in Rome around 20.30 on Sunday 18th Mar and caught a taxi at the airport to the...

We really enjoyed the River Palace Hotel. It is in a perfect location, placing you in walkable distances from the Colloseum and Vatican City. Just steps away from a metro stop (so you do not have to walk as must to either if you do not want to). They have a wonderful Breakfast that was included in our room. We...

My boyfriend and I just returned after an 8 night stay at the palace in their Villa Borghese suite. From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right decision. The room was spotless, the terrace a beautiful place to sit and have our complimentary welcome bottle of wine, which was unexpected but so appreciated. The decor...

Simply the perfect combination of service, quality and location in Rome. Everything is made to excede the guest expectation, with great care to detail. An exemple: the breakfast, made to surprise us every morning, with italian delicatessen proposed in a british style service. Location is great to discover the town, easily walking distance fron the heart of Rome.

I stayed in The River Palace with my fiancé for 3 nights in December and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we checked in we found all of the staff very polite and friendly and they really made our stay in the hotel memorable. We arrived about noon and were given our room immediately. Our room was on a...

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
