I take my hat off to Giorgio...and the other staff at the River Palace. Molto Bene!! Take yourself a few short steps off the Piazza de Popolo...and you are staying at a very adequate and well priced hotel. Breakfast room is top notch and the service in the morning is excellent. What I liked: Staff Excellence- Folks like Giorgio take...

My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The location, just two blocks from the Piazza Pocolo and the subway system, was perfect, placing us in excellent location close to the Spanish Steps, the two stop subway ride to St. Peter's, and easy access to the coliseum and meeting spots for the daily tours we enjoyed. The hotel...

This hotel is situated at the old north gate of the city within easy walking distacne of all the main attractions the furthest being the Collosseum at 40 minutes and 30 mins to the vatican City, it is also ideally situated for the Metro station which is at the top of the road. location is perfect. all main tourist sites walking distance with the piazza on your doorstep with restaurants, coffee shops, icecream parlours and shops immediately to hand. Hotel clean, breakfast lovely and happy hour definitely worth the money with a few snacks to keep you going at the end of a long day - would definitely return and recommend.

This was my first trip to Rome & the hotel was chosen by reading reviews on Trip Advisor. I am so glad I decided on the River Palace Hotel. My friend & I stayed 2 nights before leaving for a cruise. Because I had difficulty with the hotel's website when trying to make the reservation about 2 months prior to...

I'll start off by pointing out the drawback of which I only scored it 4 stars: Breakfast. Although breakfast room is nicely arranged, food offering is lacking, definitely if you are vegetarian or even worse if you are vegan. If food was being placed in a chafing dish to keep it warm & a little bit more seasoning will be...

We stayed for 4 nights. It's a lovely friendly hotel, where nothing is too much trouble. We are coming back in July with our daughters. They will love it aswell. The range of food for breakfast covered any taste.

Nice more traditional style hotel in Rome. Staff were wonderful and made us feel welcome. Rooms I agree are very small! but it was not a problem for us as we were hardly in the room and out exploring all the time. Good location for Rome as you can walk almost everywhere and we found it was the best way...

We visited this place in Jan 2017 when the winter was at its peak. First of all this place is very close to Flaminio metro station, so connectivity to the entire city is pretty good. We were in Rome for only 3 days so reducing travel time is very imported for us. Talking about the hotel, it is very cozy...

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
