Very friendly front desk and impeccable English. Lots of good information offered. The situation is just about 7 mins walk from the main railway station and there is a cab rank about 70 metres walk away - so location spot on. They have a lovely terrace on the mezzanine floor between 2nd and 3rd , perfect for qa sundowner before... More

Stayed here twice, once for 5 nights and another overnight. Location is great, a short 5 min walk from Termini station and even shorter to subway. Surrounded by grocery store, pharmacies, laundry, and tons of restaurants, but also many other hotels. Rooms are on the small side (compared to my room in Venice, Florence and Positano), potentially without much of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in early November 2014. The staff was helpful and check-in was easy. We were able to walk to several places and there are a couple of metro stops nearby. And we walked there from the train station when we arrived to Rome. The elevator is super tiny so i preferred the stairs :) There... More

Stayed in hotel Alpi on a recent trip to Rome. Very impressed. Hotel staff very friendly. Very comfortable room. Fantastic shower. Safe, AC, bathroom well supplied and tea/coffee. Room small but pleasant. Decent quality beds and linen. Very close to Termini station only 5 mins walk. Breakfast included is helpful, its continental and not bad and no queuing like large... More

Not only is this hotel walking distance to the station, but it is a great value for the price and what it offers. The rooms were clean and well furnished. My room faced the piazza and I heard nothing, it was great. The A/C worked beautifully and was quiet. Continental breakfast was impressive. Service was excellent and staff very friendly.... More

Lovely hotel very clean.polite helpful staff.room good size bathroom good size with great shower.breakfast room very nice good choice for all. We are glad I had read all hotels in Italy have a tax you pay at end of stay €6 each per night for 4* would of been a shock otherwise

Visited Rome for my birthday last month. What a place! Hotel is very clean, great customer service (although we did have an issue with paperwork and credit card receipts getting misplaced by hotel staff on checkout). The location is a good 20 minute walk from most attractions I.e Coliseum, Trevi fountain, Pantheon and a short taxi ride to Vatican City.... More

Very nice hotel with lovely terraced patio in back. Ali, the concierge, went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He even walked us to a nearby restaurant which is now easily one of my favorite meals I've ever had in Italy. Ali made our short stay in Rome super memorable.

Good value for money. Very friendly & helpful staff. Loved the design of the hotel, especially the entertaining lifts. Nicely appointed room with a modern bathroom, great shower. It was nice to sit in the bar terrace for an evening drink. Breakfast was ok, the toaster was underpowered, we had slightly warmed up bread rather than actual toast. Location is... More

Firstly the good news, in that the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. There is a lovely small roof terrace on the 3rd floor where you can relax a bit. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids so asked for a family room - which was decent sized but not so nice inside. There was a... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
