If you book the basic double room you do not have a shower in you room, it is down the hall way. This was not advertised previously on their website or expedia's as it was listed as private bathroom. Which to me would mean in the room. One of our rooms the toilet wouldn't flush and tv didn't work either.... More

The only reason why our staff treated you in a cold (not in a rude way) is because your girlfriend started screaming and slamming doors in the night waking up our other satisfied guests who are writing feedbacks before and after you. Our website and expedia have always explained what a basic double room is: a double room featuring toilet... More

My wife and I enjoyed our week stay at Hotel Grifo in Rome, Italy. Our room (with an inside full bathroom and a shower) is clean and big enough to accommodate two people. It has a comfortable bed, a desk with a television, two corner tables, a small refrigerator, a large cabinet to hang and store your clothes, and a... More

The hotel was very nice. A verry good location! Everything was near by and you can walk to the most touristic atractions. Around the hotels are a lot of nice restaurants and small shops. The stuff was verry friendly and helpful. And also the breakfast was good. So i can realy recoment this hotel to everybody.

We were welcomed warmly, pleasantly surprised to get a little terrace off our little room, and directed to the best nearby restaurant (Taverna Marin). It has an elevator, breakfast room, roof terrace, bar off the lobby, and friendly staff. Five minute easy walk to the colloseum. For an inexpensive hotel (for Rome) in a walkable, central area, it was perfect.

We stayed at Hotel Grifo in October 2010 for 2 nights. We are a family of 5 adults and had the 5th floor of 2 rooms and a terrace. It worked well for us. The rooms are clean, small, nothing fancy, and we felt safe. The included breakfast was very good. The management and the people who work at Grifo... More

We had only one night to stay in Rome, and were looking for a nice clean hotel close to the sites in ancient Rome. This place fit the bill, but had a few drawbacks. Pros: * the front desk staff was very nice and had lots of tips for getting around Rome and making the most of our short time... More
