Before booking this hotel I read a lot of reviews so I was fully aware of what to expect. When people state the rooms are small they aren't lying. They are pretty tiny. The bathroom is also extremely small, I'm only 5ft and the shower was still small for me. However, like most people that book this hotel - we... More

Check in was smooth and efficient. Allen checked us in in and asked us what our plans were for our stay when I told him we had loose plans and share them with him he showed me the map of everything we wanted to see was and gave us suggestions on how to have a smooth trip. THIS WAS AWESOME!... More

As the review title suggests, the location of this Hotel is what will keep it going and popular for many years to come. We found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. The room we had was the one right at the top of the Hotel which had its pros and cons. Pros - access to roof top seating... More

We booked 2 double rooms for a 4 night stay for my anniversary. We were given room 30 (small double) and room 41 (quad room on the 5th level with shared terrace). The rooms were outdated and unclean with mould in the bathrooms and broken furniture etc. When we approached the reception and asked if these were the rooms we... More

Every little thing we had to check or had questions about Rosa and her staff gladely helped us out with. It's localisation spares you a whole lot of time. We enjoyed it a lot and... More

First of all i gotta say that the location is great for exploring Rome. Couple of mins to Colloseum, 12m to Trevi and lots and lots of restaurants, mini markets etc around. The staff was great and friendly, and gave good advices. Though, the rooms are really not up to date. Aircon was noisy and we couldt control the temperature... More

Good location, great service and clean nice room. The room was not big, but cosy. There are good restaurants near the hotel. Breakfast was ok. Easy to get most of sights by walk, but the bus stop is near, where you can go easily for example to Vatican.

Hotel Grifo is a small hotel, with small, but clean and comfortable rooms. It is in a lovely part of town. You are a short walk from many of Rome's sights and near many excellent restaurants (a bad meal in Rome is very hard to find). It is best to request a room away from the street as this can... More

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt.
