The hotel atmosphere is very nice. The neighbourhood is quiet but so close to the Vatican. The staff were kind and helpful. Our room was clean and the balcony is nice. Only one bad experience was the breakfast. Eggs was weird without any taste and bread also. I don' t eat sugar/ chocolate filled croissant or fruits for breakfast, so... More

We stayed for vacation July 2016 with absolutely no complaints. This is an older (from what I understand) restored castle. Everything was well up to par. Had no problems with traffic noise (like others have said). A/c worked just fine in our perfectly clean room. We had hot water when we wanted it. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.... More

We ended up here by mistake; I usually stay at the Residenza Farnese near Campo di Fiori but somehow goofed in doing the booking. It turned out to be a fortuitous error. The hotel itself is in the old Palazzo Farnese and is beautifully appointed. The rooms have high ceilings, and while it was a little noisy and a little... More

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Farnese in the basement floor. The staff was very helpful and the lady who was breakfast hostess welcomed us with a smile and a nice cup of cappuccino, a good start of the day! A good location near the metro and the vatican.

Had a five night break here in June. A little different to some of the chain hotels we have used for city breaks but, overall, better for it's more family run feel. Glad we upgraded to a room with a balcony especially at this time of year. Breakfast was a lovely setting on the roof garden with plenty of choice... More

I love this hotel. I stayed there on two separate occasions about 15 years ago, and again in early July 2016, this time for 4 days. The hotel has not changed. It is well-maintained, elegant and tasteful. Some might say it needs a makeover, but I would disagree. It could be the film set of a 1960s American movie set... More

We stayed here for our honeymoon in May of 2016. The staff was wonderfully helpful! The front desk attendants were very knowledgeable about the area and gave us fantastic dining recommendations. The room was very nice and well kept. The breakfasts were very good but by the 3rd morning we were a bit tired of them (a little more variation... More

We arrived somewhat bedraggled having travelled on the metro at peak time (the station is just minutes away). The welcome we received was the best in a very long time. Our room was right at the top with a view of the Vatican across the treetops from a large balcony complete with sun loungers. The room was large and comfortable.... More

We stayed here for three nights, as part of our Minimoon. The hotel is a lovely old building and is classily decorated, although the wallpaper in our room was starting to show signs of deterioration. The staff were polite and friendly. The rooftop breakfast was lovely and a novel way to start each day. The location was a little hard... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
