A modern renovation of an older building, close to the Plaza di Argentina, easy walking distance from the Piazza di Navonna and the Pantheon. The hotel has a tiny elevator with barely enough room for 1 guest and 2 bags, but otherwise the facilities are modern and efficient. The included breakfast offering is extensive and they have a small rooftop... More

Friendly reception staff, central location near Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori, lovely rooftop terrace/bar, high quality continental breakfast, very clean rooms. If you plan to spend most of your day exploring the city, grab a drink on the rooftop terrace before enjoying dinner out, this is an excellent hotel choice.

I stayed in Smeraldo Hotel (main building) for 5 nights. Upon check in, I was told it is a newly renovated room with a courtyard view. There is a wooden shutter outside the window. My room is quiet except for the noise made from other guests. The room is small as expected in all Europe hotels. It is sufficient as... More

Pros: good location between Roman Forum and the Vatican City. We were able to walk to all the locations we wanted to see in Rome. - the rooms actually got cold with the air conditioning which is more than I can say for other places in Europe. - offered the best breakfast that we had in Europe (although I don't... We booked a room here as this is where our Rick Steves tour was beginning from. I was definitely not impressed with the hotel rooms. The room was tiny, and the bathroom was ever tinier. This was in an annex building across the street from the main hotel. The buffet breakfast was good and the lobby and dining areas were... More

This was our first stop for our Italy vacation. It was recommended to me by a friend and what a great recommendation. Location was fantastic. In the middle of everything. Room was very clean and big enough with great a/c in 35C. The rooftop patio was a great spot to relax and meet some great people. Morning breakfast was awesome... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights last week, you couldn't really be in a better location - we walked everywhere and never needed to get a taxi. The hotel is very clean and modern - rooms are a bit small but that wasn't an issue & we were expecting that from the other reviews. Breakfast was continental... More

Chose this hotel on the recommendation of Rick Steves. Was able to walk to all the top sites within 30 minutes. Hotel was very modern inside and provided a very good breakfast at no extra charge. The staff was very helpful by showing us directions and recommendations of where to eat. The rooms were exceptionally clean with plenty of storage.... More

My wife and I chose this hotel based on excellent Trip Advisor reviews, and we were delighted with our decision. The hotel has been renovated since most of the reviews, so was in excellent condition. We were , at first, concerned about our room overlooking the street, but double (or was it triple ?) glazing meant that there was very... More
