Centrally located, the Pantheon and Spanish Steps were within reasonable walking distance - also caught buses from the "Argentina" stop. Booked this hotel through Expedia for the last leg of our honeymoon - and they only had rooms in what seemed to be the older building across the street from the reception/breakfast area/newer rooms. (For a 5 star stay, I...

I have just returned from a stay at this hotel. The positives: Excellent location, staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was clean. The negatives: when we arrived we were taken to our room which was in a building across the street. The room looked nothing like any of the pictures on the website. It was very small...

This hotel was located close to the Pantheon, which I found to be the perfect location. We walked all over Rome easily from our hotel. The room was small and cozy. We had a very small balcony which was a nice plus. The bathroom was also small, but very nice. It was clean and felt very safe. At night we...

Stayed here for on e night last weekend. Great location. Very modern and very clean. rooms are a little small, but contain everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Elevator small, but serves the purpose. Beautiful lobby with breakfast room right there. The breakfast was very extensive for Italy. Great selection, even scrambled eggs. I wrote a review previously and it appears I hit the wrong number and gave it a low score when I meant to say how much we enjoyed the hotel and the people working there. The rooms were charming and very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and the bar a fun place to hang out and talk about the day's...

Travelocity app crashed after my most eloquent review ever... So please forgive me if I can't duplicate. Let me start by saying that as a solo female traveler, I am very picky about hotels. After staying at Hotel Smeraldo in 2015, I was hooked. I stayed there again in 2016 and it was even better. I chose to do the...

Our driver had a real adventure getting us to the hotel, it was a Saturday and the narrow streets were full of people and vehicles. We arrived and got amazing service from the moment we got there. Our room was ready early so we could leave our bags and begin our adventures. The room was small but had everything we...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Smeraldo from September 30 - October 4, 2016, during our honeymoon in Italy. Getting There: There's easy and there's inexpensive, but unfortunately nary shall the two meet. Located a few blocks east of the Campo de' Fiori and a few blocks south of Piazza Navona, Hotel Smeraldo is ideally located in Rome...except...

This is the 4th time we stay at the Smeraldo. Can't beat the location. The hotel is undergoing a big remodeling/updating and is looking really nice. The lobby has been relocated and is larger with plenty of seating areas. The breakfast room is on the street level and offers a good variety of hot and cold breakfast items. All very...

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
