We only stayed here for one night but we had great experience. Rooms are small but super clean, comfy and contemporary. Staff was very professional but friendly and warm as you can expect from Italians. WiFi worked great. We were on the 3rd floor. You really cannot ask for better location. You are right between Coliseum and Vatican city. Your... More

The Hotel Smeraldo is wonderfully well located near Campo di Fiori, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. In previous trips to Rome we had stayed near the Vatican and the central train station, so we were looking for a place from which to explore more south west. This hotel fit the bill very well. Our room was typically smallish (by American... More

Perfect boutique hotel. Excellent service, great location, and clean. Slept great and had a delicious breakfast (included). The staff was pleasant and very helpful. Easy walk to the old part of the city. Great restaurant nearby.

If you looking for a centrally located hotel in Rome, consider this hotel. The rooms are a little small by American standard, but very typical for this location. The staff was great -- very helpful, went out of their way to answer questions, and make suggestions on what to see. This hotel is in easy waling distance of many attractions... More

We only stayed one night in this hotel, but we thought the location was great (right near Campo di Fiore) and liked this hotel much better than our last hotel in Rome 2 years ago. The hotel and rooms were very clean, and the hotel staff was quite helpful. The rooms are very small, but you don't spend much time... More

The location is perfect.....5 minute walk to Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori. Other attractions are close by as well. The hotel staff are very helpful and go out of there way to make your stay pleasant. Rick Steves uses this hotel for tours visiting Rome. We stayed in the superior double room which had everything we needed. The rooftop... More

We were quite happy with our choice. The hotel is very central, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a little bit small, but very clean with a comfortable bed. The roof terrace is amazing. The breakfast was good.

My older sister and I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend. We booked a classic room with twin beds. The room was a good size, towels and toiletries were provided and a cleaner came in to change the sheets for us daily. We had a very comfortable stay - the only downside was the shower which was very... More

This hotel is centrally located close to the Campo de' Fiori. Thus, it is perfectly located if you want to walk to most of the major tourist attractions and picturesque neighbourhoods in Rome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the non-renovated rooms and found it to be clean and basic. And while it was... More

This is an excellent hotel with all comfort you may wish for. Service was impeccable; I want to highlight the excellent reception service with Walter and Leonardo which helped us with recommendations, reservations, tips, maps and anything we needed during our five day stay. The location on Via dei Chiavari is very central, one block from Campo di Fiori and... More

Staying in Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori

Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighborhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
