We had our own bathroom which was a bonus. Very close to the central train station, restaurants and bars and also within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Price was reasonable and the staff were very helpful.

This place was great! The room was a little small for two people, but the bed was very comfortable and we had our own washroom (although not inside the room). It is very close to the train station, which is definitely a plus. The people were very nice as well.

Living nightmare for two girls, we are not exaggerating. Upon arrival a note directed us to check in with the Lam Guest House where a smirky man said our bathroom had been flooded and we were moved to a location only 2 mins away and asked for payment in cash. A dodgy man escorted us to a very filthy street about 15... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
