This hotel is nestled in the local suburbs amongst graffiti-ridden lower cost flats & shops. The surroundings were somewhat grimy & littered with rubbish. There is a old shopping center nearby with some local food joints & a supermarket. Room was small with hardly any room to move about after we lay out our luggages! Breakfast spread was very limited, likewise the seating area was small & congested.

If you are just into the price then you can choose this hotel, otherwise skip this option. The hotel is far away from the city centre. To go to the city centre, if you want to take a taxi, it costs about 50-60 Euro, if you are lucky to find one. To go to the city centre by metro, you have to go first to San Giovanni and from there you can take another metro for example to go to Piazzi di Spagna. It takes about 40 minutes, but be aware that the interval between two metros from Torre Gaia ( this the closest metro station to the hotel) to San Giovanni may extend up to 20 minutes and to go there and back from Torre Gaia Metro Station to the hotel you have to use a deserted way, which may be dangerous especially for ladies at night times. Please also be informed that, to come back from the city centre back to the hotel, you have to leave the city centre before 11:00 pm, because the latest metro from San giovanni to Torre Gaia is at 23.30 in business days and to catch it, you have to move quickly, considering changes between two lines as well. Coming to hotel rooms, they are not clean at all and allowing only very little space to move in the room. Mattresses are very old, ripped and not clean at all. Breakfast is very poor and not tasty. Especially if there are big groups, it is not easy to find something to eat, because once sth is consumed by early comers, it is not renewed again. Because of the low price policy, the hotel is highly prefered by school groups' trips and if they leave early, then there is too much noise at 5:30 in the morning and you wake up with the noise of these groups. If the price were not so advantageous, I would rather give only 1 star. For me the quality is very low.

The hotel itself is good, clean and staff were really helpful and friendly the location is terrible and the promotion is wrong. The swimming pool mentioned that will be available from June 1st, but wasnt, the Hotel restaurant was open only for breakfast (a tag in lift informed us about that). Room Possitive: The room was confort and clean, the bathroom was big and the bed very confortable Negative: There was no A/C (Basicaly it was broken), the mini bar didnt work there was lot of mosquitoes and there was a mold in the bathroom corner. Breakfast Possitive: Very good breakfast, variety of foods and drinks Negative: Always the same and sometimes there was no Fresh juices in the morning (6:30-7:30) Hotel & Location Possitive: Very friendly stuff, they offered us early check in (we arived at 10:30) without charge us, there was biliard table, table tennis table and pc lobby Negative: Swimming pool was close, the bar never worked and i dont know why they have drints there and the restaurant was close for lunch and dinner. Location Possitive: Close to metro/train station and bus stops, there was 3 supermarkets & a shopping center with very good prices next to the hotel, also The tor vergata shopping center is not far away (under 30mins with bus) Negative: There are tone of bins with junks there is a noise and far away from the city center Note: The hotel offer us a city center refund because of the mosquitoes, the pool, the room condition and the restaurant.

I made a mistake while booking, and asked to cancel the room. They didn't even email me back. The next message from them was to review my stay, so here it is. I would say that the customer service, at least online, isn't the horrible.

If you're there for the university or the hospital, good location. If you're touring Rome, it's way out there. Two subway stations basically near, about the same distance of walk (approx. 15 min walk). At one station, it's a challenge to find the hotel the first time and the neighborhood is almost ghetto-like, but people are friendly if you need help. The other is a flatter walk, more commercial en route. The positives: - the front desk. They are great. They help with any issue, look up subway info (it was closed for repair, we found out the hard way, and the front desk staff assisted with alternatives), etc. - the breakfast buffet. Great variety. - cleanliness. This place is kept very clean. Housekeeping is also quite friendly and they try to stay out of your way if you do meet. - bathroom pretty decent. - it's one of the nicer looking buildings in the area. And, while the area is nothing special, it has friendly, affordable businesses, including a nearby pizza place, and across the street stores. - more affordable than closer in. Still, lots of time lost in transport. Not so good: - location, if you're visiting Rome itself. - overactive heater, so to speak. Plenty of balcony doors were open in the morning, and perhaps at night. So, you won't freeze in the winter. - beds rather hard.
