No real huge complaints here, except that this really isn't the 5 star hotel they claim to be, so maybe overpriced as a result. The place is very nice, the sitting room very stunning...however, not overly comfortable to sit in. As a result you are somewhat chased to the streets for fun (not bad) or to your room. The rooms... Great spot to stay in Roma - close to all the good shops (via condoti) and Spanish steps. Hotel is very clean and hotel staff are nice, the breakfast that is included is also worthwhile. Overall a nice place to stay, the bathrooms could do with a makeover but not overall bad.

I was really doubtful of staying at this hotel, reviews were terrible but I decided not to change and trust my instincts. The hotel is perfectly located in Via del Corso, which is walking distance to Plaza Di Spagna and Fontana Di Trevi, many restaurants and stores. Staff at the reception were very helpful and always with a smile, they... More

The staff were very unhelpful. We arrived at 12, knowing you couldn't check in until 3pm, to drop our bags off and go for some lunch. We then returned back to the hotel to check in for 3pm but due to the lack of organisation and being told our room was not ready we didn't get checked in until 4.30... More

Most convenient location in Rome. Immediate walking distance to shopping, Spanish Steps even a good walk to the Vatican. The rooms were spacious, high ceilings. Modern new clean washrooms. Room was cleaned twice daily. Old world ambience of this 19th century palace converted to modern day hotel. Wrought iron doors in front of elevators, grand staircase, lion marble statue at... More

The location is great, the reception treatment was bad, they did not know the rules and regulations of their own hotel which forced me to pay an extra 90 Euro/ night because she forced me to take a superior room which I should not. The manager at the end tried to straighten things out but unfortunately to his own benefit

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. I am not one to write bad reviews about any place that I've been to but i find it necessary to express my feelings on this hotel. Starting with the management and customer service .. Absolutely horrendous. The staff did not care one bit about helping us and accommodating us... More

Ugh- why, why, why did I not listen to the rest of the reviews! I fell in love with the photos of the lobby... And the lobby IS gorgeous, very gatsby-esque. The rooms were okish, definitely nothing to write home about, but more of a 3 star type of room, definitely NOT 5. I want to exclude the wonderful bartenders... More

The hotel is in the heart of old Rome. Most of the sites are within walking distance. The hotel is beautiful but, although this is part of its beauty, is old. Lobby The hotel lobby connects to Salas and each Sala is more beautiful than the other the marble lion, the stained glass windows and the grand hall are unique... More

This must be one of the best prime locations for those ,who are visiting Rome for shopping and sight seeing, interested in a prime location for having lovely walks in the historic center, suitable running routes in the morning and easy access to all shopping locations. The main problem is the hotel's ownership that ignores to renovate the rooms or... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
