We used this for our recent conference event. Good structure on the conf room and snacks during breaks were decent. Reception desk friendly. BUT very sorry to say the food is very very bad. I ordered pasta in my room but stated no pork after 45 mins it came with pork. Sent it back and they said they will make a fresh one but after 50 mins it came all dry because the pork was removed from the dish but parts of the pork was still visible in the pasta. That went into the bin. One night I had salmon and it was like chewing through rubber. The room is very average and its not 4 starts its more close to 3 star. So good for conf room but advise bring your own food. Sorry
We were in Rome on a pilgrimage end of September 2018 and stay here for two nights. The food was not good even though they tried to accommodate our traditional food and their own traditional food was even worse. Staff were totally disorganised and seemed to be running around on circles. Would never stay here again.
Having to deal with weekly trips to Rome, I always choose this structure that can always confirm itself at the top: for the quality of rest, the cleanliness of the rooms, the services and courtesy offered and the rich proposal at the restaurant. A praise and a special thanks to the room staff who can always satisfy the "celiac requests" with grace, education and sympathy !!! THANK YOU Not only will I keep coming back but I recommend it !!!
We travelled from Ireland as part of 40 strong tour group visiting Rome and San Giovanni Rotondo to commemorate anniversaries associated with St Pio of Pietrecina . We flew to Rome and stayed for 2 nights in the above Hotel. The accommodation was good but the Hotel is too far from the centre of Rome and consequently ,we needed a coach to visit St.Peter's Basilica and other Christian sites. The food was adequate at best but the service at night was so slow that a 3 course dinner could last up to 2/3 hours. Not a recipe for feeding hungry and tired travellers .
The photos of the hotel looked very nice so our expectations of the hotel were quite high. The staff was friendly, the lobby was pretty and the free parking was really convenient. However, there were a lot more negative aspects. I have never written a review on a hotel before and I do not consider myself a particularly difficult person but I feel it is my duty to prevent people from thinking this is a four star-hotel and to overpay significantly. -First, we have been told by the staff that there was a metro station at 5 minutes walk when we called beforehand (one of the main reasons we booked this hotel). However, upon arrival they told us that it was much further and that we had to take a bus. As this was already quite annoying since we only planned on visiting Rome one day, we realized soon that the closest metro station was around 20 minutes away by car. - Since the A-C did not work in the first room, we asked to move to a different room. However, in the second room the A-C was the equivalent of someone blowing air in the corner of the room. As it can be very warm in Italy, it is not too convenient to sleep in a warm room. - The WiFi did not work in both rooms. The second room was actually in a different building which means that the probability of the WiFi working anywhere is relatively low (Only in the lobby it worked properly). -The only welcoming present in the room was a spider in the shower. The shower was not only covered in mold but was spraying water in more directions than the Trevi Fountain. - The breakfast looked delicious on the photos but was in reality very mediocre. The coffee even came from a Nescafé machine, which is punishable by death in Italy. -As a compensation for the non-working WiFi, the A-C and the misinformation about the metro, the front desk staff offered (very clearly against the will of the manager standing next to the receptionist)... a bottle of water. The objective of this review is not to insult the hotel nor the staff. I am a firm believer that TripAdvisor has an important function in decreasing the information asymmetry of Hotels. Therefore people need to know that the Appiah Park Hotel is absolutely not a four star-hotel in any regard and thus significantly too expensive. There are way nicer and more affordable hotels around and in Rome!…
