Tucked away on a quiet alley near the Piazza Barberini, this gem puts you close to great shopping and dining. It also provides easy access to Rome's delights (walking and via the many transport options at hand--metro, buses, hop-on-hop-off bus tours all in the piazza). Also easy to get to from Termini station on the 85 bus. Elevator available. Breakfast was included and offered many options. Great shower.

Dear Mr Ibrahim Shindi, first of all many thanks for being our guest and choosing us for your stay in Rome. As you have already noticed the Memphis Hotel is recently and completely renovated. It is also a great and perfect family Hotel. The something unique in the entrance, that you highlight in the comments, is the welcome drink that it is available all day for everyone and it is free of charge like the fruit basket that you have found in your room on your arrival. Our goal is to be at your service and make you spend an unforgettable holiday. Hoping to welcome you one more time we send our best regards. Roberto Casano, Hotel Manager.

I stayed at Hotel Memphis for 6 nights in late October, 2019. The location was perfect. Two minutes walk to Barbarini Square. If you like to use the hop on-hop off busses they all stop at Barbarini Square. If you like to use the subway, sorry the Barbarini Square Station is closed for who knows how long. The desk staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good. The coffee machine made a variety of beverages but none were very hot. The wifi system worked well but I was a little concerned that it was not password protected so anyone could have access. The elevator worked well and I never had to wait for a ride. But, the room was the size of a postage stamp. The single bed was not very comfortable. The TV worked OK but there was only one English language channel. The sound was clear but the picture was distorted. The one channel was CNN so if you are a Trumper you would not be happy. The bathroom was equally minuscule. The shower reminded me of an MRI machine. I’m sure they have larger rooms but room 201 is way small. The hotel facilities were clean and in good repair and the maid did a good job of cleaning the room everyday. I would definitely stay at Hotel Memphis again but I would ask for a larger room at check in. There are many small restaurants very close by. Be sure to eat at Pepy’s Bar on Barbarini Square. Get a table outside and watch the night life as you enjoy good food priced at a reasonable level.

Dear Fljulsm, Fist and foremost we would like to thank You for sharing your experience at the Memphis Hotel and for your review. We are happy that you have been impressed by our services. You have booked a single room and of course we gave You a single room with a single bed. Sorry for the TV but it works in all languages because we have in all the rooms Sky channels with hundreds of channels in all languages. In the room there are all the informations You need, also how to find Sky channels with the appropriate remot control. Thank You to say that You will book again the Memphis Hotel for Your next stay in Rome. Best regards. Roberto Casano, Hotel Manager.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly enough. The breakfast is good. The room is small but sufficient....then there’s the bed.....If you like sleeping on the ground you’ll like their bed. I had read reviews prior to booking and saw plenty of “comfortable” bed reviews and a few that mentioned they were hard. Well, I like a firm bed so I assumed those hard bed reviewers were just picky. NOPE! It is hands down the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It actually hurts to lay on. They really have no excuse to not offer a feather top or just purchase new mattresses. They don’t have many rooms and it would certainly improve people’s stay. There are positives with the property but the bed negates it all for me.

Dear Christina401, first of all many thanks for your comments and for choosing us for your stay in Rome. It's true on your arrival you have found a new Hotel completely renovated, besides a great location, friendly staff and good breakfast. Of course to be beautiful we have changed all the furniture, TVs, Mini-Bars and so on and also the beds. Sorry but we couldn't stay with the old mattresses. Anyway, our new mattresses are not so hard as you have mentioned, in fact other reviews highlight comfortable beds as you wrote. But at the same time we thank you also for your suggestions. Best regards. Roberto Casano, Hotel Manager.

This hotel was a recommendation from a friend of my mom’s...she was spot on. The rooms were quaint and warm. The owner was at the desk and made a special breakfast to go for us on the first morning as we had an early tour...so special. We enjoyed the on site breakfast that was amazing. Checking in and out was easy...laundromat a few doors down and an amazing coffee shop a few doors in the other directions. Location is perfect for roaming around Rome...lol. We walked to everythign while we were there. And the sweetest staff and owner...pride and cheer was abundant. 20 rooms, family owned, felt like staying with a friend.
