The hotel is located a short walk from the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. It is walkable to just about everything you want to visit. The single room was on the small side, but perfectly comfortable with a very comfy bed and all the facilities. It was also immaculately clean. The staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. an absolute joy.
We visited in october 2021, hotel was immensley clean with all covid guidelines adhered to. Very friendly staff from the time of arrival to checkout. Great location for all the sites worth visiting with the trevi fountain 200 mts away. We will return to this beautiful city and this hotel.
We had booked into another hotel and due to renovations a sister hotel was offered. This hotel was off a busy main road in the berberini area. Room was clean and had tea but no coffee on offer. Air conditioning a problem. Room very warm. Breakfast had to be preordered and u didn’t really know what to expect. Noise level extreme both outside for a large proportion of the night and room doors had a doorbell and doors very noisy when being closed. Wouldn’t stay there again
We arrived in Rome early in the morning with a full day ahead of us, and Hotel Memphis was very accommodating! The location was perfect, close enough to walk just about anywhere or take the Metro or a bus if it wasn’t. We could see right away that the staff was polite and always trying to please their guests. When we arrived for an early check-in, not only did they accommodate us, but they served us a free breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready. The front desk staff was knowledgeable of the area and gave us advise on restaurants and how to get there, even calling Taxis for us. It was nice to walk past the Trevi Fountain almost everywhere we were headed. We had a free breakfast (in our room!) every day which helped us get an early start on our sightseeing. We stayed in a Family room, which was a queen bed and bathroom with a connecting single bed and bathroom. The room was spacious for three people. We would definitely recommend this hotel!…
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Excellent services. The location was perfect - very close to the most important sightseeing in Rome. It was very quite, the room booked was with balcony were we had breakfast each morning. Best value. Camelia Pirjan
I have stayed in many hotels in Italy in particular, and Europe in general, over the years and this stay had the best room, best service and was the best value of them all. The hotel was very easy to find and its location --close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Barberini metro stop-- was very convenient. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. The staff was very helpful, cordial and sincere. I will absolutely stay at this hotel or one of their affiliated hotels in the future.
Tucked away on a quiet alley near the Piazza Barberini, this gem puts you close to great shopping and dining. It also provides easy access to Rome's delights (walking and via the many transport options at hand--metro, buses, hop-on-hop-off bus tours all in the piazza). Also easy to get to from Termini station on the 85 bus. Elevator available. Breakfast was included and offered many options. Great shower.
i was in this hotel with my family ,it is close to all sightseeings, all the piazzas ,fountains are very close, the rooms comparing to other hotels around are big 20 mr, mrs tiziana from the reception was amazing she helped us with explanations about places, invites shuttles and did all her efforts to make us enjoying our stay in rome, the breskfast is o.k,the rooms are very clean, they have something unique in the entrance ,there are cakes ,fruits, water and other refreshments 24 hours per day,it is free for their guests, i like it and reccomend this hotel
I stayed at Hotel Memphis for 6 nights in late October, 2019. The location was perfect. Two minutes walk to Barbarini Square. If you like to use the hop on-hop off busses they all stop at Barbarini Square. If you like to use the subway, sorry the Barbarini Square Station is closed for who knows how long. The desk staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good. The coffee machine made a variety of beverages but none were very hot. The wifi system worked well but I was a little concerned that it was not password protected so anyone could have access. The elevator worked well and I never had to wait for a ride. But, the room was the size of a postage stamp. The single bed was not very comfortable. The TV worked OK but there was only one English language channel. The sound was clear but the picture was distorted. The one channel was CNN so if you are a Trumper you would not be happy. The bathroom was equally minuscule. The shower reminded me of an MRI machine. I’m sure they have larger rooms but room 201 is way small. The hotel facilities were clean and in good repair and the maid did a good job of cleaning the room everyday. I would definitely stay at Hotel Memphis again but I would ask for a larger room at check in. There are many small restaurants very close by. Be sure to eat at Pepy’s Bar on Barbarini Square. Get a table outside and watch the night life as you enjoy good food priced at a reasonable level.…
The hotel is in a great location and the staff is friendly enough. The breakfast is good. The room is small but sufficient....then there’s the bed.....If you like sleeping on the ground you’ll like their bed. I had read reviews prior to booking and saw plenty of “comfortable” bed reviews and a few that mentioned they were hard. Well, I like a firm bed so I assumed those hard bed reviewers were just picky. NOPE! It is hands down the least comfortable bed I have ever slept in. It actually hurts to lay on. They really have no excuse to not offer a feather top or just purchase new mattresses. They don’t have many rooms and it would certainly improve people’s stay. There are positives with the property but the bed negates it all for me.
