We arrived yesterday from Rome and had really bad experience with this hotel. We were 6 persons in 2 rooms. One of the rooms was a total disaster, nothing worked properly in the bathroom: broken toilet seat, water flows from shower directly on the floor etc. Lamps inside the room and on the balcony not working, fridge not working. Balcony...

Dear Miss, Our maids are working with us from many years and in all this time nothing was stolen, nothing disappear from our clients. They found and reported to me during the year's golden rings or valuable things lost by the clients in the hotel. Like I said when we spoke here at the hotel, I am sorry for your...

Thank you all at The Marghera for helping to make our stay in Rome so enjoyable. You have a most pleasant hotel and a very warm welcome particularly from our four legged friend in reception ! Standards of cleanliness were worthy of note and hotel location extremely convenient. Maybe tea/coffee facilities in rooms could have further improved our experience though...

We are three American women who extended our Tuscany vacation with two nights in Rome. Walking over from Termini Station, we did not know what to expect. This is in some ways a typical European lower cost hotel- tiny lobby, elevator fits one person with suitcases, very small room. However, this hotel is a cut above. The front desk staff...

I would like to reserve this hotel for October 2011 and the hotel site won't allow me. I think it's because it's too far ahead. Neither I could submit this letter through the hotel site. I am planning to stay in this hotel based on responses of Mr. Eduard Ghergheluca to reviews on Tripadvisor. His responses made me think that...

Hotel is well located for bars and restaurants and of course the transport hub at Termini station. An unpretentious, modest hotel with a warm welcome representing good value for money in a city centre area.Cleanliness was excellent and rooms serviced daily to a good standard. Staff courteous and efficient and breakfast though basic was well presented. A very pleasant break helped...

Our one week stay at Hotel Marghera was pleasant and enjoyable and we will stay there again when visiting Rome. The hotel is family-owned and run [father, mother and daughter (Pierangela)] with a very friendly and accommodating atmosphere. In addition, the three most oustanding aspects of the hotel are: 1. Its proximity to Termini Station [less 50 metres] which is...

Me and my friend arrived at the hotel without a reservation and were greated very warmly and professionally from the Manager. We were given a lovely room on the 4th floor which had a double bed, two balconies. All lovely Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. We thought this place was fantastic, especially considering the price. The breakfast was just right,...

We thought this place was fantastic, especially considering the price. The location right next to the train station was great, and the room was very accommodating. The breakfast was not overly spectacular, but it was included in the price, so who could complain? I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
