Bathroom disgusting To make it fare, this is my second family trip in this hotel , it is again a family trip in Rome. The first time we have been really happy. And the room and bathroom was very clean. This time , we have been welcomed by many different “ body hair “ ( to say the least ) lying there in the bathroom. I ll let you juge it by yourself . When said to the reception we have been moved from that room instantatly BUT this just can NOT happen at all !
I stayed at Cristoforo Colombo Hotel in January 2020 (Almost 2 weeks) and in August 2020 (Just one night). During my last stay only one side of the Hotel was open because of the Covid emergency. I like this hotel for its position, its facilities and its kind and professional staff. If you are visiting Rome for the first time and just for leisure maybe you would choose a more central place (even though the Cristoforo Colombo Hotel is very well located and connected to the city centre). If you are visiting Rome for business or you are a frequent visitor this hotel is definitely a great choice. Close to the city centre and, at the same time, to Ostia. Rooms are cozy and the bed very vey comfy. Highly recommended!
We spent two nights here on our trip to Italy. Pros: The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. It was about 1.5 mile walk to the Metro line stop EUR Palasport. The Metro line is your savior in Rome. Easily park the car at this hotel and jump the Metro. A “tourist card” is good for 72 hours for unlimited use for $18 Euro. (about $20) Cons: God forbid there is a wedding the night you are there. They allow them to party until 6 am (literally) and I was there on a Tuesday!!!!! I have always loved the sound of a Lamborghini. There was parked outside for the wedding, right below my window. I got to hear it at 4:45 am...it is not as great. Also, they don’t have shower curtains so your bathroom floods if you want to shower. They had shower curtain rods and this weird half window thing but no curtain. Overall, it is a good hotel but figure out the wedding and curtain rod thing.…
The 4 bed room was big, clean an warm. It had 2 bedrooms, an organised kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The bus station was 150m away and the subway 600m away. It didn't offer breakfast or meal, and the reception desk was open from 7:00 to 22:00. A value for money room, 20min from the center, with good transportation around, and 500m from a 24h supermarket.
We arrived late at night to join a tour the following day. Although we had pre-paid for the extra night's accomodation, the tour company appeared to have forgotten to book us into the hotel. After a bit of fluffing around, the lovely lady at reception gave us a room anyway and presumably sorted it out with the tour company. The room was nice and clean, although the bed a bit too firm for my liking. Breakfast was standard fare, well presented, although there was some confusion regarding where we allowed to sit, although there was no directions indicated anywhere, but we moved when directed anyway. They regularly ran out of coffee cups, but their apple juice was good alternative anyway. Situated close to a very nice mall.
We stayed here for 2 nights before flying back to the states. The room was in good condition and clean. It wasn't very large but adequate for our stay. The down side was commuting into Rome. It is located next to a shopping center which was convenient for our needs. The restaurant was very good and priced accordingly.
This hotel was part of a package deal from Great Value Vacations. We had 5 days in Umbria, then two days in Rome. We drove a rental car all through Umbria, but did not want to drive in Rome due to the traffic and the parking difficulty. It is not convenient to the metro or the center city and seems to mostly cater to bus tourism. It was clean and quiet and there was plenty of free parking. The food was mediocre. The front desk staff were great. Taxis to/from the Vatican or city center were around 25 euro.
Easily accessible by bus (700 which i took) which just stops in front of the hotel. Friendly staff, not many varieties for buffet breakfast (particularly for vegetarians). Room and washrooms are good. I liked the little balcony attached to the room.
Stayed a few nights at this hotel which also has a large conference center. Rooms were clean and with good beds. Needed three rooms for family arriving on three different days and prefered to have them on the same floor. Staff was willing to check if possible and in the end accomodated us all together almost next to each other. With bus and metro you can go to all places in city centre in no time. Also big own parking place for those arrivng with own transport. Friendly andwell trained staff.
