One of the fundamental features of this designer hotel is its young contemporary feel. This is particularly evident in the choice of furniture, innovative style, clean modern lines and from the decor and lighting, all of which have been designed to provide each room with a new and fresh feeling. Our hotel lies in the historical center of Rome in one of its most ancient neighborhood - the Esquilino – renowned for its liberty buildings, large squares and characteristics alleys. In just ten minutes by foot from the hotel it is possible to reach the Termini Station, main railway junction in the city; in just 15 minutes the Baths of Diocletian, Villa Borghese and Galleria Borghese.

We had an ok stay at this hotel. We were only there for two nights… the location is OK but we liked our other hotel closer to the Trevi. The room was nice but very small. The bathroom even smaller… so If you care about roominess, I don’t recommend this place. The breakfast was a good spread but if you are looking for omelettes and more “fresh” items, this isn’t it. The staff was nice… the elevator is tiny and slow so be prepared to take the stairs sometimes. It’s a decent place but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Ideally situated in Rome. 30 minute walk to colosseum and trevi fountain. €20 taxi to Vatican, or take the metro. Room was clean, and spacious around bed with a Juliet balcony. But the bathroom was compact with no room for your bits and bobs. There was a chaise lounge but no dressing table in the room and wardrobe was also compact, again not much room to store your stuff. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a good start to the day. Room cleaned well. Safe was free. WiFi was a bit dodgy.

Stayed at The Guardian while in Rome for 2 days with sister and friends. This was a stop over for a cruise. Conveniently located to places we wanted to visit in a short time. I would say it is like a boutique hotel, small and modern feel. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive. The breakfast was delicious and we were offered a nice variety. They had a quiet veranda to have coffee and drinks in the evening. There are 2 things that could be improved upon: First, was the online photos....they made the rooms look large and spacious. The room we were in could barely hold our luggage and still allow us to move around. We made it work but it was tight. Be aware of this if you come in with large pieces of luggage and intend to be there for an extended timeframe. You should definitely reserve a bigger room. It was only 2 days and not that big of a deal because we were on the go most of the time. Second, was the stairway. The elevator was small and could only accommodate 2 people or 1 person with luggage, so we used the stairs daily. Parts of the stairwell were not well lit and had an odd jog - I missed a step and slipped down. I was not hurt, just surprised. The staff heard me take a tumble and came running down from other floors, very concerned. Luckily, no injuries in advance of my cruise. I mentioned they should light the stairwell up so you can see the odd sections of the stairway. I am somewhat of a klutz and was not wearing my glasses; it was partly my fault. Just something to be aware of. Other than these 2 issues, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend.

Hotel was nice and clean. All of the staff were nice except from the reception staff. When we arrived, they asked what time we would be having breakfast the next day. We told them we would be going out of the hotel on a trip at 6am and the receptionist said he would arrange for breakfast to be brought up to our room at 5am. This didn’t happen the next morning and when we went down to ask, they abruptly said ‘there’s no breakfast’. There wasn’t an apology or anything. The reception staff also weren’t helpful when checking in and we were told to ‘just leave your bags over there’ and head outside into the garden area. Not very welcoming considering they’re front of house.

Went here on the recommendation of my Travel Agent. The locations is in central Rome so getting to different places is convenient. However, the rooms are tiny, the shower stall is very small and the floor of the shower is extremely slippery and dangerous -- I can't imaging how many people slip and fall in the shower! The showers are not pressure-balanced, meaning you can go from taking a hot shower to instantly being burned by extremely hot water! How can a modern hotel not use pressure balanced faucets? The toilets are push-button activated. On the first push, the button broke and remained in the wall. After 3 days of telling the staff to fix it, they never did. I was able to get it work by twisting the button but no excuse for not fixing the toilet. The lighting is terrible. There is not enough lighting in the rooms, and the areas lit are very dim. You can hardy see anything! The rooms are also very small even for 2 (small) adults. There's barely any room to walk around the bed on the side closest to the window, and there's barely enough space to store luggage. And to top everything off, don't turn on the coffee machine! We did and it blew a fuse and we were in total darkness at 11pm. Someone from the staff came up to "fix" it and didn't even know how to -- took an hour to finally get it resolved. Will never go back to this hotel.

Hotel room location was quiet cool and dark but bed too soft and like a hammock in the middle. Had no soap in shower or sink dispensers so question how clean the room was. Check in person definitely not friendly. almost felt like he didnt like others except Italians as I observed different nationalities check in and saw differences in how he dealt with each. Breakfast was good but had to sign up for a time. Location was good across from a park. Had one of the best meals across the street which was recommended by the evening front desk lady during my stay. Even though slept ok because cool dark and quiet, not sure about staying here again.

The hotel is very modern and every single part of the building looks very nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is super! Has Nescafe coffee machine. Fresh and at the time still warm different croissants and home made cakes/ pies. We kept seeing staff wiping sides of the buffet areas and keeping it clean. The accommodation room was very clean and again modern. I cannot fault this place. Thank you Guardian for a lovely stay. Highly Recommended!

Great little hotel not far Rome Termini Station. Ultra clean and quiet with comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast. Pleasant and helpful staff . A little far from Rome center but not a problem once you navigate the Metro and hop on hop off buses.

A great hotel, modern decor and immaculately clean. Staff are very friendly and efficient, no complaints whatsoever. The outside bar area is excellent for a relaxing drink. The location is also excellent within walking distance of the town centre and train\ bus station. Breakfast was excellent too. Would definitely stay here again.

We were really impressed by the service we received by the desk manager . The room we got was spacious spotlessly clean and the breakfast was very good . Nice location and check in was prompt and hassle free. Will definitely stay here again if we are lucky enough to be back in Rome .
