One of the fundamental features of this designer hotel is its young contemporary feel. This is particularly evident in the choice of furniture, innovative style, clean modern lines and from the decor and lighting, all of which have been designed to provide each room with a new and fresh feeling. Our hotel lies in the historical center of Rome in one of its most ancient neighborhood - the Esquilino – renowned for its liberty buildings, large squares and characteristics alleys. In just ten minutes by foot from the hotel it is possible to reach the Termini Station, main railway junction in the city; in just 15 minutes the Baths of Diocletian, Villa Borghese and Galleria Borghese.

We had this hotel (formerly The Smooth Hotel) booked for a group of 11 adults pre cruise, but unfortunately due to the pandemic we were unable to travel, and were left in limbo. Pietro Moretti, the Operations Area Manager of The Guardian Hotel went above and beyond his duty to see that this mess was resolved. Our group of 11 would like to thank him sincerely for his wonderful effort in this matter and we hope that in the next few years we will be able to stay at this hotel and meet Pietro to personally thank him. Thank you Pietro from all of us.

We just stayed for four nights at The Guardian and had and absolutely wonderful stay. The staff are all very friendly, we had a chat with several and they helped us with transport questions etc. The room was perfect, we stayed on the 5th floor and it was so peaceful and quiet. Slept well all nights. Bed is comfy and amentites perfect. Breakfast was delicious and a large variety. The bar was great we enjoyed sitting having a drink in the evening before bed. Literally the only thing I can make a bad comment about is the shower went hot and cold sometimes but that was bare able! Highly recommended and if we are ever in Rome we would come here again.

Highly recommend this hotel. We went in the beginning of february (it was a birthday trip). We arrived late in the first night (after 10PM) and Andrei from the reception was very kind and the check in was very fast. We received a room ugrade (i think :D ) and for that i am really thankful to the hotel staff. The room, 601, was perfect, very big, modern bed, bathroom. Water was always hot, breakfast was really good. The only tiny tiny tiny thing was the AC sounds, starting random, funky noise. That didn't bother us so much, since we were really tired after visiting all day. However, on the 6th floor there are only 3 rooms, so its really quiet. The bed was very comfy, the amenities provided were OK. There is a smartphone in the room, which we did not use, but you can use it for maps. The hotel is in a quiet area, a nice 15 min walk to the center. I really loved everything. Thank you, The Guardian!
