We stayed four nights at Smooth Hotel Termini in Rome. Despite of its name, the hotel located in quite peaceful part of the Termini, about distance of 10 minutes walking from the station. The location is great and if you are ready to walk a little, you could just visit all main attractions by foot. Smooth Hotel Termini has 24/7...

Good location within walking distance of the railway station, very handy if you've used the Leonardo Express from Fumincino airport. Spotlessly clean, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very modern decor, minimalist style, could perhaps do with a bit more storage space but this is a minor detail. Breakfast very good and lots to choose from. We used city sightseeing tour...

Really nice staff, nice and clean rooms (really enjoyed the smell of lavender first time when I entered the room). The breakfast also is a pretty nice addition. It is a really good pick if you plan to visit Rome. Totally recommend it!

A business colleague and I had been in southern Italy and decided to overnight in Rome prior to returning to the states. We left Naples early on the express train and arrived in Rome mid morning. The hotel is a quick 5-10 minute walk from the train terminal, as long as you have bags with roller wheels. We arrived at...

A very clean and bright hotel close to the railway station. Our room was very comfortable with a view across the road to a small park area. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was served from 7-10.30am and had a good variety of food. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. A very enjoyable stay.

You must stay here if in Rome. The hotel is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the breakfast delicious. 5 stars is not enough! The staff willingly stored our luggage after our morning arrival and already had it waiting in the room when we checked in. It doesn't get much better than that.

Just waiting to leave this hotel. Couldn't have asked for better. Clean, fresh and modern with plenty of space! We booked a triple room for the 2 of us as there weren't any double rooms left, but I wouldn't see 3 people struggling with space in the room. Check in was smooth and issue free, staff were friendly the entire...

We spent 10 days in Rome. The Smooth hotel was exceptional. Newly decorated cozy rooms. The location is very central. The breakfast buffet has everything you could want. North Amercian and European fare and lots of it. We did have one mishap but the staff couldn't have handled it any better. There was a major water leak in the ceiling...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Updated rooms, air conditioning, mini fridge and even heated towel rack. Ten minute walk to the termini train station and hop on and off bus stops. David greeted us and was very friendly and pleasant. Great complementary breakfast. My two complaints are 1) the water would be nice and warm and then get cold...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
