We had a couple of rooms; a small double and a slightly larger 'superior ' twin. Both were clean, well equipped and had decent showers, the free wifi was fine. Neither room was spacious but they were perfectly OK for a couple of nights. The. Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the metro and some of the sights... More

I stayed at Baileys for three nights recently and the location is fantastic for access to famous sights. The hotel is a 5minute walk from the Bernini fountain (where there is a great wine bar!), 10 minutes from the Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain. It's only 30min from the piazza Navona for great night life but it's a little further... More

My husband and I were upgraded to a deluxe room because we were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We also received a complementary drink at the bar. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A lovely hotel and we had no complaints at all. Would certainly recommend it.

Staff seem to have depression and they dont behave friendly. Location is good but not perfect, little far from historical sites and metro station. Breakfast is awful, cold eggs and water and awful juices. Our first room was dark and very small and we asked for another room but had to pay extra money. Ants in the room. Cold and hot tabs... More

Initially went around in circles trying to find this place, but after asking a couple of locals found it and were pleased with the result. On reflection it isnt far from Termini, just get a good map and try going in a straight line. Walked everywhere the first couple of days, easy to do so. Tried the hop on hop... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights prior to a Med Cruise as part of a packaged deal. The hotel is nicely located so that you can walk to most tourist attractions. Our room was lovely with high ceilings and classy furnishings though was at the back of the hotel with only a view of a fire escape... More

My mother and I stayed here on our first visit to Rome, and couldn't have been more pleased! For whatever reason the room we had booked was unavailable, so they bumped us up to one of their first class rooms, and it was everything you imagine when you think of a fine European hotel: high ceilings with beautiful plaster and... The hotel is very well located for exploring all that Rome has to offer. The metro is handily situated, approximately 8 minutes by foot. The hotel could do with a makeover. Our room, a superior, was far from it. The paint work was scuffed and skirting boards didn't meet. The bath was well worn and the bottom of it was... More

The hotel is in a quiet side street but close to The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and main train station. It was a good base for exploring Rome. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. July was very hot so the air conditioning was fantastic to have.

The hotel is well situated. The reception staff were helpful. The rooms were dark and dingy - we had "delux" room which it was not. Our children had standard rooms and the "view" was overlooking pigeon poop infested staircases. The breakfast was inedible - when we enquired about the possibility of a boiled egg were told only do scrambled as... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
