Our stay was during August 2011, and we thought the hotel perfectly suited all our needs. Perfectly situated, it is reasonable walking distance to all major tourist destinations and surrounded by a variety of cafes and restuarants of varied prices. The staff are helpful and friendly, and we were surprised by the generous size of the rooms. Breakfast was enjoyable,...

I stayed in Caravaggio for 6 nights. The best thing is that it is near all the well known sights of the city, so you can walk. Also it is in 10 minutes walk from Termini. The room was small, but it is Ok for travelling. The staff is very polite and friendly. The breakfast was fine, the girl working...

I stayed in the Caravaggio for one night, for work.. I love Caravaggio paintings, so... Initially didn't mean to stay at this hotel but ended up here because my preferred hotel near Termini was fully booked. The name sounded right, price reasonable, the location wasn't too far from Termini and the deco looked nice from the pics. Reviews were reasonably...

Friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was terrific and really gets your day started right. The room was ok size wise, very clean and comfortable. And the location was awesome - walking distance to everything. I would definitely stay here next visit to Rome and would recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Booked this hotel based on comments on trip advisor. It was a good choice. The room, bedding, bathroom were spotless. Our room was a good size by European standards. A big plus, we faced the back, no view, but that was ok, because it was so quiet we thought for awhile we were the only ones on that floor. We...

Having reviewed multiple Hotels via TripAdvisor and other sites for our recent trip to Rome and trying to avoid the three biggest issues associated with Rome accommodations i.e. lack of working A/C, noise and central location, we thankfully selected Hotel Caravaggio. We need not have feared as the A/C worked well and the room was in a quiet location ensuring...

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice our room was, very clean and posh looking. The ensuite was clean and had a sensor light that unfortunately could pick you up when you rolled over in bed, although handy when trying to get to the bathroom at night! Shutting the bathroom door sorted out this problem. The air con was good...

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
